“As president, I owe it to the people of Kenya to provide leadership,” he said in Kigali, while responding to a journalist’s question on whether he will have a handshake with Mr Odinga.

WSR is simply positioning to get the Luos and Luhyas in the next elections…. He will be shocked.

Yeah…. The sad reality!!! The Gen Z had imagined a rebirth, a new Kenya. Unfortunately it is a still born.

You know, even if they told Baba to stay off… they were in reality just posturing expecting he was on their side and would provide a backstop (a voice of caution) in case WSR went full force / rogue on them. That way they were operating with notion of an expected cover from him. Elder statesman. He has betrayed this expectation. Shame on him….

You notice that the moment Baba started wavering, talking of dialogue or broad based conversation is when the protest started to suffer some hiccups or lose momentum.

Had Baba stayed tacitly on their side, we would probably be talking of a transitional government process.

Gen Z’s were also not helped by being intransigent and lacking a “leadership” structure. Obviously WSR wouldn’t wait for them forever. You are going for him, he would activate his survival instincts, apart from holding the instruments of violence! Power abhors a vacuum….

I really pray that Gen Z’s organise themselves well now and kick all of them out at next elections. I am rooting for them.

Raila made a choice , he picked his side . The day election results were announced he had reached out to Ruto for a Broad based government how they like calling it nowadays. Ruto was steadfast after what he experienced with the handshake.
So now they will sleep on their bed. Ruto will be out come 2027 if he will survive until then and Raila will never be the President of Kenya.
Until Economy recovers which at this rate it wont then expect Genz to continue with their clarion calls .

This is not going to work today, it may give him some breathing space but it’s kicking the can down the road. The Moi error politics are not going to work in 2027, money or tribe is not going to matter. Politicians like let’s say Babu can raise money from the grassroots like they do here in USA, small donations add up to big numbers. If this kids can be able to neutralize big money, then they can end the politics of tribe and thievery. People like Raila will never change, tribal merchants, it’s time for young Luos to tell him to take a hike after all, how much time does he have on this earth, the kids and the new Kenya way of thinking will outlive all these people. I want one person here on this site, speaking deep from their heart  tell me that they are excited about Joho finding his way back in the cabinet.
