Who is the guy or family?
Why is he getting a house built?

Very humane for Ruto. Champ needed a simba.
How come world champion did not have a house? I thought those marathon and endorsement translate to windfall, no?

On construction I think this method should be adopted for affordable housing. Quick, fast and cost can come down significantly with economy of scale.

Kiptum is a typical kalenjin male. They make money the first thing they do is move to the local town to eat it with milaya..it is embrasssing that this man wasn't taking care of his family as he should have.
Eric is a special Kalenjin. He is what majority of Kalenjin men used to be.

Seems he did not make any money given his casual treatment of contracts and running back to the damned village. The villages fuel the unquenchable thirst for self destruction.

it's important to handle sports like serious business. Good management handling business sawa sawa Champ should have cashed in serious money. If Nike does not pay up move to Adidas or under Armour.

once you make it you must ran away from the hood. Relocate to a ranch or big city or coast where no one knows you. It was not supposed to end like this...

Eliud and many athletes stay in Kalenjin land. Eliud has shown that self discipline is the most important part of managing your life. Kipchoge too did it. But that sang guy that got killed during clashes was someone that was doing well but was hateful mofo. There hundreds of Kalenjins doing sports and earning without drama

Eliud is doing it but I hear he does not even speak to his neighbors neither does he do interview with local media...who wants that kind of negative energy? Villagers can burden you with their problems. Move away visit once in a while and when you visit throw a big bash. A big bash that will make your Mpig feel threatened. I agree marathoners are making money but with improved management with new ideas they can break the bank.

In all fairness, he was only 24. At that age many have no wisdom yet.

Most of early black american athletes squandrered their money until hedge funds stepped in. Nowadays there is a management scheme.

That is nonsense. He  is a member of community. Once the community knows you are all business they will give you space. Anyway kiptum is gone, it will be a lesson to future sports managers and coaches to reign their athletes.
