some questions regarding the late Yebei
« on: January 11, 2015, 04:41:43 AM »
1. How can a mature man disappear in an urban place outside or inside a shop a 12.30 pm without raising any alarm or public interest? No trace nothing?
- It is possible...if the person abducting him is well known to him (a lethal friend!) and lures him to his death. Thus the saying 'protect me from my friends'...

2. If the people apprehending the individual are uniformed policemen, the public is not likely to be too worried, but there could have been a conversation/argument of some sort - so this is unlikely.

3. Why were the local dcio and team very unwilling to do anything? How come they never thought of tracing the call at least as they usually do in kidnap cases?

4. Why did Karim Khan claim Yebei as a witness only after it was safely confirmed he was dead and not before? Was he waiting for confirmation of the death? After all, the disappearance should have been more inimical and significant to his case even before the death became a reality?

5. Why is the government unusually keen on a positive identification via DNA even when they were reluctant to search for him when he was alive and family have physically identified their brother? Is there a subsequent court role of the late gentleman's identity in Karim's case(s)?

5. Is there any precedent of  this type in the icc cases?

Have a peek. This Yebei brother is very smart and honest as far as one can tell.

Just wondering!

Condolences to the family!

Yebei, it seems, started out determined to eat from both sides.    First was the OTP.   They dumped him when they figured out his game.     While being dumped, it appears that he managed to get a "final & substantial offer" from the other side.    That should have been the end of it, or so people thought.     But he probably decided that here is no point in having a cow at hand if it's not going to be milked properly: he probably went back and demanded that his "final & substantial offer" be improved .... or else, OTP get ready.  Again.    Big mistake, it seems.

The Ruto/Khan demand for a DNA test is actually quite sensible: In their position, one wants to be sure that the man really is gone; the last thing they need is the fellow popping up in some secure place, as a (repeat) witness for the OTP.

We should also keep in mind that even if Ruto doesn't get nailed on the main charges, he could still get nailed on the bribery and corruption of witnesses.    Some "Bribery Agents" are reliable, but "reliable" and Yebei don't seem to go well together.  Best not to have him around.

Speaking of Bribery Agents: Barasa is going nowhere.   That has been seen to at the Highest Levels: Executive <=> Judiciary.

This would have to be the officially sanctioned BS.  Replete with officially designated anonymous members of the late Yebei's family.

His brother says they have been advised to keep quiet if they don't want to also disappear.
