Fidel Odinga: Are there Slow Acting Deadly Poisons?
« on: January 05, 2015, 01:28:45 PM »
Just wondering. As you have noticed, I have avoided commenting on this issue. I did read about Fidel's lifestyle and was shocked. He must have grossly underestimated the amount of hate that he drew in life. If I were him, I would go nowhere with security and like all people of that calibre (Biwott) I would eat nothing served.

It was not unusual for Biwott in his heydays to "snatch" a plate of food meant for a random customer and avoid touching what he was served. In parliament where people show "friendship" by serving others coffee, he would never touch it. Instead on some days he would go to the kitchen grab a random cup and serve himself.

Debauchery and saturnalia are a hunted man's worst enemies. I am not yet in a position to comment on emerging stories of a life marked by unrestrained revelry, licentiousness and orgies. While any young man is free and indeed may be encouraged to partake of the best of life, one shall remain alive to the dangers that dog his life. I was not taken aback by the fact that a hotel owner denied Raila entry and even ejected him but by the fact that he actually went there expecting normal service.

Omollo,
Fidel lived a reckless carefree life [just like Uhuru before he was 'saved' by being entrusted with heavy responsibility]and seem to underestimated the kind of hatred and love that Raila inspires. There are nearly half kenyans at any point of time who wouldn't mind Odinga dead or any of his family. That is just the nature of politics. However anything could have killed him..including natural causes.

Let wait for postmorteum report.

There has been lots of reckless deaths including Kajwang and Mutula.

I agree 100%. The man played roughshod with his life. That makes it very hard for me to say anything before that post mortem.

In the case of Kajwang' my view remains that the guy should have gone to hospital for a thorough check after his accident. some years ago while accompanying my father, we came over a dead woman on the road. She was the wife of Justice (then Magistrate Aganyanya). A Kikuyu lady.

Aganyanya is a polio victim and therefore completely paralysed in lower limb. While enroute home, they rolled in their tiny peugeot 204 and the lady - who was driving helped all the kids and the heavy husband to the road. No sooner had she finished that she started writhing in pain and died on the spot before the helpless eyes of the disabled husband.

I believe Mutula Kilonzo engaged in misadventure. It is between him and his God.

I am amazed that in this day and age and after all that has happened in Kenya that there are folks still prepared to believe postmortems carried out by GoK pathologists.  This same department said Julie Ward was killed, roasted and eaten by wild animals, Ouko shot himself, broke his leg before committing suicide... Mutula just keeled over and Saitoti/Ojode were killed in an air accident...

Pathetic...

The more time they wait, the faster the poison vanishes from the body. We were told of this potent poison having been acquired by a certain old woman. Kajwang was the first experiment.

Bryan,
I think in this day and age you can import you own pathologist from anywhere and have them do their own analysis.

Its scary how good this guys are getting at killing people.  When Raila said that Fidel was his eyes an ears on the ground, his confidant, adviser and best friend, he clearly articulated the motive why his political opponents would want to get rid of Fidel.

Hey Kichy,

Why was he partying on a Sunday night ? Was he depressed? Suicidal? No doubt he wasn't careful enough. Anyone could've killed him when he routinely went out partying. Some hate monger must've killed him. It's tragic. Having him killed politically benefits noone.

We do not know if he was careless or not, however, poisoning can be done very easily by determined people.  Fidel was a politician for all practical purposes and therefore he had to interact with people.  To avoid poisoning, you really have to handle all your food by yourself which is imposible.  Any politician in Kenya can be poisoned if the people trying to kill him are determined enough. Let us not blame the victim here.

Omorlo,
somebody believes kajwang was the first victim or you do?
Some sumu is imported around July and its first victim is taken out in December? Implausible but you can't possible divorce negro from his superstition

How does what I believe come in to this? Vooke you forget I know your debating tactics.

I have told you what we were told. Security was tightened. There was a list on it Wetangula was number one. Khalwale number two etc. Among other things mentioned was hio sumu.

Does the poison have a use by date? I thought some of them last forever? So if one acquired poison in July 2014 it is quite possible for the same person to use the same poison in December 2014 or 2015. I don't get your point?

Any way, I know this will not be going away soon so. keep your questions coming.

I hope it didn't come out like I was blaming the victim. The thing is around sabasaba or in the build up to it, there was a hush hush warning sent out. There were specific threats made to specific people. Poison was mentioned.

Many people immediately took steps to protect themselves and security sharpened. I am saying shortly after that many people relaxed their security and paid less attention to the threat. I am not sure if any threat analysis was done to justify the relaxation.

Another badly kept secret during the Kajwang funeral was that it was poison. It took him three days.

Now stating what is being said out there is not the same thing as pointing fingers at anybody.
