NHIF Deductions Through Hasora Fund
« on: April 14, 2023, 07:33:25 PM »
NHIF needs serious purge and reforms now that technology has found a way around contributions by 7 million hasoras; otherwise, compliance will be tested eventually.

There has never been clarity on the services to which self-employed hasora members are entitled to despite being urged to join. Most hospitals keep saying it only works for civil servants.

If 7 million contribute 17 shillings per day that is 119m; per month 3.57 billion; per year 43 billion - a third of MoH budget. Phenomena monies but not with the corruption and crazy administrative costs.

Quote
Currently an average of 7 million Kenyans borrows and pay their loans on a daily basis.

7 million are repaying daily. Time will tell how the deductions affect the fund.
