Read the article properly. The Turkish company had almost completed the first phase of the Tanzanian SGR.

But I feel as if these guys talk more than they construct. Phase one, a mere 240km, is yet to start operations, six years after construction started

Kenya's mistake was to just look at China for SGR offers. Our guys had only their cut in mind when signing the SGR contracts with the Chinese firm. There are several Chinese firms that are capable of buliding SGR. Kenya should have demanded several offers from different companies.

No Kenya got better deal than Tanzania because Chinese delivered in 3yrs.our railway has been in operation since 2017..Tanzania keep pushing theirs forward yet they started almost a year after us.They also didn't factor rolling stock.i think we should stick to Chinese if we want fast turn around
