They are unlikely to hit kenyans. They are hitting Tsiekendi. Both of them know without Kenya - they become landlocked - they recourse will be Tanzania - a mess.

And Ruto as KDF commander will never order a fight btw kenya and it's greatest allies - UG and Rwanda.

This one will be decided btw Ruto, Museveni and Kagame....DRC is too big for everyone and kenya has to try to muscle their way in.

Kenya should go for regions outside Rwanda and Uganda control - and try resource congolese under the rebels - that are totally chaotic.

I think Kenya is operating on orders from above.  UG/Rwanda know it.  They resent it.  But they have to put up appearances of going along.  But anyone who knows Museveni will know not to trust his words.  Kenya should focus on turning the Congolese into an effective fighting force.  That should be their heavy lifting.

I doubt US will seriously go against UG and Rwanda. It's better chaos now is eastern DRC - but go against Kagame-Museveni is to destabilize the whole region. They are just going to maintain balance. Basically M23 are not allowed to capture goma.

Kenya have look at entire map. There are 120 rebels group. Kenya cannot concentrate on M23. They can protect GOMA - but leave the rest to M23. Then go for the other 119 rebels that nobody backs.

They can work with congolese on the 119 - then after 5yrs - they should be ready to come and deal with M23 and Rwanda.

Museveni is busy with ADF - there are just too many rebels - in DRC - so there is enough action for everyone.

The thought of partitioning DRC to appease Museveni and Kagame is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Kenya military is in DRC at the invitation of the elected government. Kenya should recruit more soldiers deploy them in DRC as well as train DRC troops.
