100% correct. Soldiers belong to the barracks in a democratic state, unless in cases of emergency or war.

Yes by making it appear they can manage civilian activities we are slowly making a coup a reality -  their job is tor restore order outside kenya preferably - and assist police in kerio valley, marsabit and such areas. They havent done half the job - so Uhuru reckless drunkardness has to be stopped. Let all of them go back to barracks.

Kenyans are hungry, sick, tired and under siege from thugs. Uhuru is not your problem anymore, you have bigger issues to think about, if for example KMC reverts to thieves and completely collapses, who benefits there? I think Uhuru was out of options and wanted quick solutions. Ruto should also declare hunger an emergency and deploy troops on it, they have the discipline and logistical capabilities to tackle problems quickly and effectively. It happens here after natural disasters or riots.

Army should stay in barracks - and come only during such emergencies.
Army are soon going to be corrupt - and when you want to arrest them - it become dicey.
if Gen are involved - they can overthrow gov.
Amin overthrew Obote - because Obote started probing Amin corruption in the army.

We dont want Egypt or Pakistani

The worse corrupt political class is better than the army.

They should find him and other soft landing - some ambassadorial position - in far away land like New Zealand or Fiji.
The same with NIS director.
All Uhuru guys need to go.
Ruto has to put people he can confidently sleep without worrying about them.
Of course the decision has to come from "KDF"
Ogolla and NMS Gen Badi will have to go with Kamweru
That leave Ominde most likely the next KDF Head.

Ruto should resist the temptation to mess up Tonje rules.

So basically after taking out two full generals of Kenya Airforce - then Ominde becomes KDF Head.

I would put the Pokot Mutai (Navy commander) deputy KDF - and give him mandate to deal with Pokots

Next mulika Ogolla asap.

If this is done the way fuel subsidies were done, then help us GOD.
Leave it alone. Tackle it when counrty is stable financially.
This should not be a priority, rather hunger afflicting Kenyans. Crime associated with poverty. Disappearing middle class.

inflation has fallen without subsidies.
The message when it become clear to players they play rationally
If you introduce subsidies - you corrupt private sector
Because someone can claim to have milled xyz while he milled nothing
They can collude with supermarket..shortages then even more prices
Once they knew Ruto was not for subsidies and was ready to bring uganda and others to play
They have self-corrected. Apart from fuel - nearly everything has gone down - zero money spent
Both measure of intelligence and toughness to make hard decision.
Ruto wont be imprisoned to what he said he will do - How he will do is upto him - 5yrs we evaluate.

And they will evaluate with utmost good faith - if Ruto has tried his best - it will be obvious.

If this is done the way fuel subsidies were done, then help us GOD.
