He says he will toboa. Am sceptical if he will publish it 100% without any reductions.

Nonsense. So 50B will come from fines? Those cameras are in Nairobi. How will you raise those kind of fines out of Nairobi?
I highly doubt that figure of 1.2B in a year from 4 cameras.

I am really impressed by Murkomen

Very shameless buggers.  Ati hatujui and they have been all over TVs praising SGR for years?

Even Hasla has been a choir master for the project and never seen the contract?  Surreal!

It was made clear to Ruto and Wanjigi that SGR was Uhuru own baby. Wanjigi fought having done the ground work. Ruto cut his losses.

The cameras are all over. Kenha can put cameras everywhere they want.

Btw kenha already makes 25B from fines and levies - these road axle/weight bridges - now imagine what speed cameras linked directly to NTSA - with email and phone communications - and then they can have police arrest people - for not paying- you're given 30 days to pay.

You dont worry about the impact of cameras on road safety? but who will get the contract. I expect some company - will get contract to install cameras, the software and related services to be billing - it could be Kadudu if you bring that tech from germany fast and first enough.

what is not acceptable is road blocks, police stop people, taking them to court - bla de bla.

This is 21st century - kenyans have m-pesa - and all our systems are now wired - we all have IDS - car ownership thing is very digital - insurnce now digital - everything is digital.

Technically this is very easy to do. The company who get this - will take huge cut from money that normally go to corrupt police officers - kenyans will be happy not waste time with cops or courts.

Guess who will get a big cut in the contract to instal those cameras?

Exactly. In Tanzania fines area standard 1500 KES, you are given 30 days to pay or if you dispute you appear in court.
Police mount cameras on the road to check which vehicles have pending fines, in which case you are detained till you pay the fine via mobile number to a government pay number.

The same happen in Uganda. The police once in a while mount roadblock to check those with fines. Instant fines work.
