Away from the coups/ national security threat of contested presidential elections, the tight runs in other positions shows the elections has largely been on issues. The presidential vote has defied tribal census nonsense we have been sold.

Even candidates in strongholds were given a run for their money and generally I have not seen any landslide win for Governorship, Senate, MPs, MCAs positions across the country.

This is a good accountability mechanism as the winners know in case they drop the ball, they won't be back in five years.

It show that deep state, 30 billions spent, KRA, DCI, EACC, opposition, drunkard, all Govt Machinery, Parties consolidated as azimio, massive threats, intimidation, coercion, bribery, blackmail, and all the things unleashed were defeated by One year-old party headed by William Samoei. Someone should write a book titled "Miracle in Kenya."

Away from Hasla and the vanishing tip stet, it shows local issues are being taken to the ballot. Even Raymond Moi got 10K votes.

Yes, it further shows Ruto is ndume of our time of changing elections to be about issues, unlike what we are used to in the past. Uhuru and Raila were caught flatfooted. They thought since drunkard is Mountain Kingpin, okuyus would line up to vote for senile mzee. Ruto told the electorates to move the country forward, we have to change the nature of politics to be about policies, programs, and the economy. Folk wisened up, and that is why they showed up at the polls to pick the best team that could sort their economic problems. Ruto takes all the credit!

I have seen this nonsense all over the place. We know that in 2013, TNA & URP were also one-year parties when they formed 'Jubilee Alliance' and stole the 2013 election. What makes 2022 different yet waliiba pia? But by Sept 5th, you will learn the script; mtajua hamjui. Shamelessly they even stole the name Jubilee from Mudavadi, something Mdvd bitterly complained about. Retard, find something else to write about or as Pundit would tell you: Kwera!

Chebukati, as mandated by Kenya's constitution, announced the winner already. Apparently, It is not the older man but William Samoei Ruto. 99% of Presidents-elect around the world go 99%  most of the time to be presidents, and <1% of non-president-elects go <.0089% to be presidents. It is not my math but Princeton's Sam Wang's hesabu

Already the courts is clear it is not there to entertain silly inhouse politics engineered by the coup plotters. Read the signs!

You call that news... I saw something like thisv as a post on twitter and immediately labelled it brown horse shit, first grade green monkey crap! I would forgive you if this was your first election that you voted in. See voting in Khalwale as Senator in an ODM zone is not news. It is good that an ODM Governor gets oversighted by a UDA/ANC Senator. Least of all it was not Khalwale first time as an elected member of parliament. Go to Luhyia land, all parties get seats. Even the so maligned Luoland, does not always vote ODM. This Siaya fellow Ochieng who just defected was elected from some nondescript party called MDG??? Obado became governor on non-ODM party. So what you are saying IS NOT NEW. Kenya has a special problem with two regions. These regions since 2013 have become insular. While the rest of Kenya were voting issues as they have always, Mt. Kenya was back to factory settings - coalescing around a rogue outfit called UDA. Explain to me the 6-piece in all of Mt. Kenya and Kalenjinstan? South Rift & North Rift, needless to say was a tribal census as you call it. They went to Rongai and called it Dynasty vs hustler. This country needs to be saved from 2 entitled communities.

If you want to talk issues, start thinking like this! As of now 70 elected leaders in Parliament have active cases in court. Nkt.
Quote
Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew said there were two options for me :
Either..... I get corrupted and I put my family in the Forbes list of the richest people in the world and leave my people with nothing.
Or.... I serve my country, my people and let my country be in the list of the best ten economies in the world.
I chose the second option.

Kenya  politicians said,  "there were 2 options for us too, but as the second option was already taken by the Singapore Prime Minister". ....
 We had No other Choice

Senators have been having serious fights with governors across Kenya which is good for oversight role. Given the number of senators who have been elected governors, the governors will be on their toes.

I look forward to ODM bringing a well articulated impeachment motion against Hasla presidency or deputy. This is the card they need to show and use successfully in next 20 years, otherwise they serve little purpose.

Buyer remorse after swallowing baba amepanda mlima, Martha has 60% nonsense. Mt Kenya only sin is not voting for baba 50%.

What makes south and north rift a tribal census, yet they voted for baba??

So Kales are a problem coz they voted their hasla but not Luos who voted their baba?

You haven't grasped my point. It is very possible that in their rigging frenzy that was disguised as dynasty vs hasola, Kikuyus have made sure all positions from MCA to Governor is UDA - allsix elective positions WERE UDA! (Ama you do not know the meaning of 6-piece?) -- JUBILEE WERE DECIMATED.
Luoland on the other hand agreed to elect any deserving candidadte as long as the Presidential vote went to Baba.
What Kales & Kyuks did is insidious, it removes the electorate from issues, it is not democratic to elect someone based solely on party of affiliation. Not long ago we had a Luo MCA in Limuru although he mysteriously died in India. Kyuks have taken a giant step backwards in democracy.

This election was closer than I thought. I was relying on pundit's MOASS, but it was very close and that tells me that a more organized candidate could have beaten Ruto especially with the state machinery behind him. We wiill see in 5 years who challenges ruto and how well they do.

Yes I was wrong... definitely low turnout suggest previously there was some top ups of at least 5 percent...that strict use of biometric eliminated.Charles Hornsby was right in predicting tight race with small Ruto advantage.2027 if Ruto is running as incumbent is walk over ..hard to beat incumbent. This year was opportunity despite Uhuru trying to run for 3rd term... through Raila.Azimio I doubt will survive for three months if they don't get power

The zombie virus in Odingaism will be exorcised eventually. While Mt Kenya and Kale governors are planning transition and moving with speed to address real issues, so called deserving baba cows are in supreme court and adjacent hotels crying rigging chorus with baba as cartels continue to loot Nyanza.

The voters' registers need cleaning and updating, am not buying the low turnout.

I'd forgotten just how much BS RVs push on here.  The massive electoral fraud is what delivered this closely run election.  If anything this proves that Odinga did not rely on state muscle and corruption (like Jubilee did in 2017) to win this election.  No one (not even Ruto) can defeat the state.

Yes one would have expected 5 percent drop due to dirty register - 10 percent is too much. Biometric dealt with top up rigging in strongholds and remote areas.

There was voter apathy necessitated by Handshake Politics . Handshake disoriented a section of voters.
Also when the politics diverted from Tribal to issue based a section of Kenyans became diainterested.
Take a good example of Ukambani once Raila did dirty to Kalonzo around 200K plus votes incomparison  to 2017 went into thin air . These 200K + votes in 2017 were won by Raila. Ruto maintained what Jubilee won there in 2017.
Handshake really destroyed Kenyan Democracy .Now if BBIs handshake could have gone through . Kenya would be in a messed up situation. These politics of Co-operation, Grand Coalition and Handshake should come to an end .
As we speak Raila is Just angling to be part of Government by hook or crook . If he would have accepted his loss in 2007 and played his role as opposition leader most likely he would have won in 2013. Thie stupidity of rejecting results and joining the govt of the day is the reason he is now losing for a 5th time straight.
Ruto has said he let him play his rightful role in opposition.
