Suits or Gowns in Court

Mutunga had the judges dressed in a hideous green.  Maraga went for black and crimson red!  Looks like Koome prefers the American approach.  Even the language the lawyers are using seems a little more in the present.  No more m'Ladies and m'Lords peppering utterances by black Africans with stupid looking wigs.

Lol, you're right apart from the language: Still my Lady/Ladies and my Lord/Lords. Very glad for the missing wigs. I loathe nothing more than those ridiculous things. If we're going to have head gear, let it be African! Jomo's "hat" is pretty cool 😎

Mutunga tried to introduce 'Your honour' ala Americans but failed. We still reserve it for Magistrates Courts only.

Yes the hideous gown I am glad is gone but this was pre-trial. Tomorrow maybe they will wear it on full trial? BBI they had it.

The gowns will be there from tomorrow or at least during final ruling. Koome has a terrible accent but seems very tolerant and motherly. Final verdict will be like surgeon's blade. Painful but necessary.
