Nairobi-Adis Ababa to take a day by next yr
« on: November 11, 2014, 09:51:06 AM »
Kenya gov finally woke up and the road is snaking it's way to Moyale...Moyale-Adis Ababa has always been tarmacked.

They need to relax labour, movement and trade restrictions btw kenya and Ethiopia.

Next would be to complete Garissa to Mandera road. That should be top priority.

Garissa-Mandera wil not be tarmacked any time soon. It is feared it will accelerate arms from Somalia and now terrorism. Funny thinking

I thought it will also help accelerate response to terror..right now rapid response cops take 4 days to reach mandera..that is clearly not rapid response. With tarmac..that journey..mere 1,00kms..from Nairobi..will take 1 day...from current 2-3 days.

Good news. The government needs to open up the country in order to spur growth. Even far flung areas like Baragoi need decent roads for development to occur.
