All of them are corrupt.
The differentiator for me is someone who can at least get something done at end of the day.
Ruto is only guy who has proven time and again that he is committed to achieve his ambition.
If by achieving his personal ambition - he lift kenya - that is kind of leader you want.
Nothing will get done bila jaso. Speeches, good intentions and name will not. Brains, Hardwork and Fair amount of Luck.
I am also proud that I was brought up by parents with very high work ethic and for me I value working hard - though I am smart and dont need to.
Nothing beat hardwork. Chinese work extremely hard. Mzungu is incredibly discipline to the second. Hakuna siri. Difference in talents is very very minimal - hardwork, humility and discipline is the real differentiator.
Ruto like Eliud Kipchoge exemplifies - people with rare talent but who still work harder than anyone else - are humble than anyone else - and have the incredible discipline to get stuff done. Those are once in generation people - many years to come - people will wonder what freak of nature Eliud Kipchoge was to dominate an event(marathon) that doesnt lend itself to dominace - to run at world class pace for almost 30yrs!! And same for Ruto.
With Ruto -you have someone in public service who will report to work by 6 am everyday - or even earlier - which is very rare in civil services.
Raila and Kalonzo both abroad instead of campaigning. I understand Raila at his age does need some rest especially after a big event like the unveiling of the manifesto but Kalonzo should be out there stomping the ground. This is the problem with tribal politics, the tribes will vote for you regardless of your agenda or listless campaigning. I do not want to be misconstrued but if Ruto wins, I will sleep in peace. The guy worked like crazy for five years, I admire hard workers because I have the same personality. In high school, I woke up every day at 4:00AM to study whether I was in school and at home. The same relentless spirit is what has gotten me where I am right now. If Ruto wins, like a game of basketball, he outworked everyone, if he takes that same zeal to presidency then I think he can be able to move the needle a little. This is not an endorsement, I will personally never vote for someone who came up through corruption like Ruto.
