Miss u - Biggie

Sky's the limit - Biggie ft 112

"Nostalgia is a collection of those  warm fuzzy memories that hurt but in a good way" -- Meezy

You know jana I was sitting in a waiting room next to this young fooine dime piece (do they still even use that phrase any more?) Pretty as can be and fit and tight.ritru bit ritru bit. I love to talk to people so we struck up a convo that was very interesting. I usually don't talk to chicks under 25 but this one was very mature for her age so the conversation moved beyond small talk. Music came up as a topic and she said she loved to listen to old skool hip hop like 2pac and Biggie. I laughed and asked her what she knows about those two and she impressed me by talking about the albums, the songs, the ones she likes and so on. We ended up talking for over 30 minutes about everything under the sun. When we were done she was like you know what, you're such a Zaddy. I asked her what that meant and she laughed her behind off that I didn't even know the meaning of the term. I had to research it kabiza kabiza afterwards. Initially I thought it was matusi. These gels, these gels, these young gels I tell ya,

Thug passion - 2pac

2pac was so talented that there was no single song on the All Eyez on Me album. And it was a double-album at that! Very few artists have been able to oull this off IMHO. And with collabos on almost every song that had to be on point!

The Chain Remains - Naughty by Nature.

Most Kenyan immigrants to the USA have never experienced this side of that country.
It's like the suspended reality of the same when they've lived abroad for decades and summer-bunny their way home for Christmas.
You believe you understand your environment but it's all just surface level.
I have a former fellow African friend who was gunned down at her job back in 1997 during a botched robbery. Her crime? Not being able to speak/understand English properly, so she couldn't obey the orders the gunman was giving her.
Another lady from Zim - a medical doctor - was gunned down by her Naija hubby in a jealous rage.
Another South African dude was in high school and got involved with the wrong company. Was innocently riding around one evening with his African American buddy. The AA got out, carjacked and killed a lady. Dude got 25 years to life for being an accessory.
That's the dark side of the American experience most Kenyans abroad don't get to experience.

8ball & MJG - Space age pimpin'

Best listened to while driving those old long cadillacs with the woodgrain dashboards 🤣

This group ruled Memphis for a minute in the late 90s then just disappeared.
Memphis, is done, buddies. Finito. Toast. Kwisia gabiza.
Even the areas around Graceland have now shockingly  turned 100% ghetto.
Hamerikwa in general as I said years back, is on large scale decline by design and won't ever rise up again. All great global hegemons have an expiry date. Those who opposed me when I said this over 5 years are starting to see it. Na bado. Things will only get worse.

Maxwell - Don't Ever Wonder
I was watching this clip  on youtube of a younger chap asking an older chap in his late forties/early 50s a question. If you could magically go back in time, what age would you have loved to go back to? The guy said he wouldn't want to go back at all. I loved that answer. The way we see the world much later in life is so much different than we do while experiencing growing pains. Were more experienced, more grounded and hopefully wiser for the wear. I am enjoying this interesting journey called life. I hope the same for you all too! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
