Good one. When I was 19, I had a buddy from Swapo-land in his early 30s in my colle who used to make fun of me for only listening to hip hop tupu back then.
Dude had an incredible collection of hundreds of CDs of all sorts of genres. Jazz was probably 50% of it. He told me the difference between listening to what's hitting in hip hop and listening to classic stuff is that by the next year the hip hop hit is gone forever and forgotten while classics just need re-mastering for sound and can be listened to enjoyably 30 years down the line! Took me over a decade to finally understand what he meant. Timeless nostalgia tinged lyrics in this one.

Rediscovered this 2007 Yves Larock gem by accident after having not listened to it in 15 years!
Reminds me of riding in the hooptie in Venice to sweltering hot Venice Beach in the summer and how crazy the Boardwalk all the way to Santa Monica was back then (2007/2008/2009). I remember the sights, ocean smells and sounds of the place just from listening to it. Funny how long lost songs bring back long lost memories!

Moto sana bro asanta! Everywhere is definitely a classic. One of those that are timeless like Take That's - Back for Good (1995 smash)!

Good memories. That jam (Everywhere) takes me back to 1987 man and the serious crush I had on a kaslim pretty in late primo. These gels these gels these gels I tells ya. Decades later I met her in person again and even spent a few ndays with her, she was still single but the spell was broken. Everything was different and some repulsion set in humo humo at the person I saw ritru bit, ritru bit! Time changes everything, blo.

Everywhere also reminds me of Nai in the 80's an interesting yet crazy time with torture chambers at their height!

Been mulling about the life journey lately. In the long term it seems, nothing we take seriously ad interim really matters. Songs - the soundtrack of our lives - keep the memories alive for a minute or two but mwishowe coffin ni iyo iyo tu.
