Kitendawili yateguka.

https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2022-05-12-ruto-conquers-mombasa-maintains-grip-in-mount-kenya-new-poll/?pkg=130

Asked whom they intend to vote for in the August 9 presidential vote, 41.9 per cent of respondents said they would go for the DP against 37.5 per cent who prefer a Raila candidature.

Now with Kingi onboard - Ruto should focus on coast - Raila kila pahali anashikiwa jini :)

Now outside Luo Nyanza, Gusii (and Ukambani - pending Kalonzo) - it almost 50-50.

Na bado GEMA ni ya Ruto.

Nairobi very close
The former Prime Minister would secure 48.2 per cent of the votes against Ruto's 37.6 per cent.

Subtract about 8-10% because in 2017 he had 40% on the polls only to come down by half on election. Hii 32 is almost 16%

Yes non-kikuyu/no-kalenjin are about 15-20 percent of Nakuru - but having lost half Luhya votes - Raila start with 10-15 percent - then he gets 20 percent of kikuyus (who are like 55 of Nakuru)- so that another 10-15 percent of Nakuru.

So I dont see any major changes - he will score around 20-30% of Nakuru - 25% is good ballpark prediction.

Subtract about 8-10% because in 2017 he had 40% on the polls only to come down by half on election. Hii 32 is almost 16%

Meanwhile ungrateful Kingi, the dirty Aisha, and the shy Mvurya just getting started.

Raila sense of entitlment to coastal vote is wierd...this vote he inherited from Moi's KANU...and now Ruto has gone to bring them back from the misuse and abuse.

Raila this time around will struggle in coast. 2017 betrayal of kenyan people is what is hurting Raila. The old man took blood money. Traded people lives with some handshake nonsense not even govt of national unity. Old man has no where to hide. This was a golden opportunity for Raila to pass the baton to a younger leader.

Raila has hinted he will pass the baton in 2027, just like Mandela did when he left the political scene just after one term. But I guess even those 5 years are too much for you. They will make tears roll down your cheek and piss roll down your mhindi legs.... but itabidi uzoea the 5th. I have said these words as nicely as I could so as not to hurt your feelings.
