Kimani Ichungwah,demanded that Fatuma Gedi either substantiate her claims or withdraw the statement and issue an apology.

"In line with our procedures, when you mention candidates of particular coalitions who are known but are not here to defend themselves, Fatuma Gedi is obliged to either substantiate or provide evidence or withdraw the statement and apologize," Ichungwah stated.

However, the Woman Rep did not withdraw or apologise, insisting that she had evidence to back her claims, further requesting to be allowed two days to gather all the documents before presenting them to Parliament.

Her remarks did not go well with the DP's allies, leading to a heated argument with Speaker Justin Muturi being forced to intervene to restore order in the August House.

Muturi granted Gedi her request explaining that the matter was a serious issue.

"Ordinarily, we do not allow people to say that they will provide evidence after two days because when you say something here, you are expected to provide the evidence.

"Given the gravity of what you have stated, I will allow you. Therefore, on Thursday, April 12 at 2.30pm we expect Fatuma Gedi to provide evidence before the house," Muturi ruled.

Kenyans are going for an election in 100 days time. It is all about timing. Timing is what is different between Ms Gedi & the late JJ.
Just like in 2013 on this forum, some  were so sure CORD would win just as other knew Jubilee was forming the next government. Trump diehards were sure Trump was going back. My point is, you feel safer to stick your neck out 100 days to a change in government, if you are so sure a win from your side will shield you from any repercussions whatsoever. WSR has so much at stake right now. He has to put out fires and how he puts out those fires has a bearing on the vote he so badly needs to win Aug 9th. That is fake news again. Real news that I have heard or seen is that a lot of indians, Whites, Africans, and Chinese contractors/investors paid money willingly to DP hoping to get favors in contracts, etc. DP told them he doesn't have a bank account, he only deals in cash and preferably 1000 notes, $100 notes! For months to year's, folks came with briefcase of Ksh1000 notes and 100 dollar bills. Ngina and Uhuru heard it and went away to great lengths to change the 1000 note becase they heard that DP had amassed over 100B. What they didn't know was the briefcases were 70/30 in favor of 100-dollar bills. Whites, indians, and Chinese came mostly with briefcases full of 100$ notes while Africans came with local money. That could be where the beef started because Uhuru could not persuade the US government to change 100 dollar bill. Nothing went through accounts, only crisp cash. Again, all government agencies gives DP a clean bill of health! Do will reveal everything when he becomes president and Uhuru will be mired in courts for year's!
