Even if you love Ruto so much, do not raise him to the level of a messiah. Ruto just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Ati he knew 30 years ago while at KY92 that he will one day run for presidency is just another wet dream from Pundit.

They dont understand just how METICOUS Ruto is. Ruto has planned for this run for 30yrs. He has gathered all the arsenals needed (billions in hard cold cash, intelligence, resources, propaganda, etc). He aint going to screw up. I believe the next 10 days he will want to deliver best party nomination ever. Then spend next two weeks doing clean up - appeals and dealing with fallout.

Then it will be crazy system go - from may to august - with him doing 10 rallies - with ground team combing villages.

Typical of the man with two choices in which con trade he would join.
Where do his chickens join in the equation?

Ruto has no chance, his only hope lies on kikuyus replicating their turn out of 2017.
voter turn out in central at best will be 60% from 85% at worst 55%. Raila will get atleast 25% of that lower turn out. There's no nyumba kumi campaign to increase turn out, actually from what I have seen and heard it's jubilee doing community meetings, especially targeting women.
That chapter on the UDA front will be formulated the last few weeks before the elections. After the nominations mess has died down, the community vote targeting will start. UDA already know their voters, where they live, and their contacts, so when community canvasing begins, it will be easy to assemble and turn them to the polling stations. Individual UDA governors, senators, maps and the rest will be tasked with bring their voters to the polls. Obviously, Jubilee have an enthusiasm gap compared to UDA members who are very energized to vote for UDA candidates. I don't buy  the low turnout thing because the part has plan to bring the voters to the polls. Bodaboda will be varying people left and right to the polls, especially church groups, youth groups elders, women groups that have been maintaining financial ties with DP since 2012. There are about 100K members and all will be participating one way or another turning people to the polls! UDA is a large responsive family!
UDA doesn't eve have a complete data of their members leave alone detailed  contacts. Besides IEBC has updated list of all registered voter in each polling station. Its this data that aspirants are buying to target voters. Having mass rallies without getting attendees contacts or even check whether they're registered voters its useless. The last mass registration Mukerweini constituency registered a meager 800 new voters. This a clear indication that turnout will be very low. Down ballot election don't increase turnout for the presidential election, its the reason why western has had low voter turnout. Gema is the new western.

UDA on their website has data of 7.3 million members, (Veronica Maina team has it, too). When they were recruiting members, those are information they were collecting few months ago. I was tasked to pay for 6 men that worked 4 weeks combing my Kamagut neighborhood. And yes they registered over 4000 members in a sleepy village. Reality vs Gossip!

Ruto wins this one hands down.  Without 100% Ukambani and Western vote Raila has no path to presidency. His ethnic math does not add up..

In a month or so, Raila will only be counting on Kikuyu thurakuthuraku votes to deliver. Ruto on day one never banked on the mountain a lone. He knew western was another motherload, Coast is mad as hell on Uhuru/Raila team, KAMATUSA are easy targets to rathchet up, and Somali and NEP are easy to bring in board. With that, Ruto will greatly expand on all those communities draining Raila's votes considerably. I will not be surprised if media headline of August will be saying "Raila must hit 65% in Mountain, or he is toast".  In Kambaland, Ruto has invested heavily on women and bodaboda groups. Even if Baba and Kalonzo goes full in, they will not muster 97% they usually get. Ruto and Muthama will certainly part with at least 15-20% (investment from 2013, not tibiim tialala poverty)  Remember, " If I support Raila again, I will be the biggest fool in the world" will be at the backdrop of everything Ukambani!
