Oh my, so Ambassador Kimani didn't just shoot from the hip, he was actually sent! Majameni, mwaafrika can be a very stupid human sometimes. So Europe and NATO are refusing to die for Ukraine but Kenya is going to send our boys to die there? For a Russia-NATO contest? Or at the very least a European squabble? Have they not seen the neutral stance Africa, Latam, and Asia have largely taken, condemning the invasion while refusing to join the sanctions? If you're not going to collect the stranded Baafrika and bring them home, stay put!
Which source did you hear it from? This is the type of thing for which IMPEACHMENT/Vote of NO Confidence would be 100% apropos. Why would any right-thinking president involve our poor country in something so dangerous, the capable (and interested!) countries are staying the hell out???? I'm hoping/guessing this is Kenyan rumor-mongering. Uhuru has never been brilliant but this would be beyond stupid.
