Why are Russian soldiers not being welcomed by cheering crowds

Am surprised even in the South and East Ukraine the territories the Russian troops have conquered ther are no crowds cheering them. These are mainly Russian speaking areas in the Ukraine. What reception will await them when they turn west to the Ukranian speaking areas?

Putin said he is out to free "his" people. Where are these people to date?

Because it is an illegal war even under Russian law. These conscripts are  being forced to sign contracts to say they are not in the military. The generals will back date them to show they were never in Ukraine. The war is illegal under law and putin is about to be in trouble. The problem is that everyone is convinced that Russia is a banana republic like North korea. Far from it. Putin just capture state power but the constitution is still in effect. Meaning he has to thread a needle thru the katiba to do some of the stuff he is doing

First under which Russian law is it illegal. Secondly these propaganda videos are being manufactured for the sole reason to  show weakness of the Russian army.
They were many similar videos some few days ago but  the reality has kicked in and now they are bombing residential areas and making propaganda videos so as a no fly zone area is enforced by NATO.

Putin referenced International law and got approval from Parliament for this special operation. Prove it illegal ...

The objective as Putin put it is Demilitiration and Denazification of  Ukraine. The objective was never being Cheered.

Rumors are that Russian army sent in the east simply evaporated and left their positions,there is a breakdown in the Russian army a mbig one
