Negotiated democracy as long as the opponents agree. ODM itakuwa ni direct ticket from Baba - no negotiation. Even in Luo Nyanza where party is strong.

Moses Kuria and Kiunjuri were right... after Jubilee 2017 mlolongo noone should trust Ruto & UDA. Expect most Mt Kenya aspirants to stick to Jubilee, TSP, CCK, Narc Kenya, etc.

They need Ruto's UDA to win. Ruto has the grassroot support. It's better to run as independent - but to start with party associated with Raila - that will be starting at -70 percent is ultimate stupidity in Mt kenya.

The rules of game have changed with Azimio Act of parliament. I think once you lose nomination - that ultimately produce a lot of bitter folks - you cannot run to another party.

Ruto biggest headache remain how to run a semblance of nomination - without the resources of IEBCs - and he is solving the big ones now - that makes him smart.

2007 was Murathe mess - Ruto went to do  a clean up after the walevi had totally messed up - Ruto didnt sleep for 3 days - he was sleeping in Jubilee house - they had to start from the scratch - get ballot papers printed - delivered - name it.

In Kalenjin land - nomination will be brutal - but 99 percent will have to accept the verdict. Kulia is waste of time.

Ruto is a professor of party nominations. It will be smooth and easy when it is all said and done. I think Gazillion small parties in central will fall to UDA unless Jubilee distances itself from ODM; even with that, they will kaput!

Yes he was KANU director of election and run ODM nomination then Jubilee. He saved Jubilee from Murathe disaster.

Agreed - the many small parties in mt kenya - 10 and counting - work to advantage of UDA - UDA will likely sweep the board. UDA will struggle where Azimio crew agree on join candidate

Nomination is always tricky part. Negotiated democracy is better than resulting fallout. Nairobi, UDA needs a good kikuyu or Kamba candidate am not sold to Bishop Wanjiru candidacy. Give it to Kalonzo.

I think Sakaja will take it. Mudavadi and Wetangula bukusus will deliver, especially if Ngatia on the other side is imposed.

If Ruto can pull this one off, then he is a step closer it will be main determinant that UDA is cohesive
For example Tharqka Nithi If Njoka is excluded and Joins Azimio we are looking at votes lost for Ruto.
I honestly don't know how he will pull it. Meru still UDA has no candidate

Yes that - biggest headache especially in GEMA - last nomination left a bad after taste.
I think Kiraitu will join Hustler Nation.
He is set his NDC at 18th March.
I dont think he will join Azimio and risk the ground.
He is one hell of a politician having never lost since 1992.

For place like Tharaka it better if  cannot agree they run in Hustler nation friendly parties.
It's better than shutting them out of UDA nomination and then they become bitter.

Kiraitu is vulnerable now more than any time, once Munya was out for laymen it appeared it will be a walk in park but the truth was very different,When Kiraitu is faced with a different candidate like Mwangazq or the Gitobu that was promoted to deputy Jubilee chairman then it will expose him badly and thats why Kiraitu is not openly supporting Ruto. He knows he is being ensnared but he now neeeds to go full Ruto or end up in oblivion. Problems with Kiraitu he has soo many corruption scandlas that can bury him.gatheca has become very good at Meru politics he is outdoing Mzito Ruto as we speak. Kinoi Gitobu is another master stroke for him

Unless Munya is made DPORK; I think Meru is going to be Ruto by a small margin;
For now - based on opinion polls - Raila is doing very very well...it looked like he was nearly 40 percent
Traditionally he has done well in Meru - winning two seats for ODM even.
Ruto need Kiraitu's BUS to counter Munya.

If Munya or any other Meru is not made DP,Then Ruto easily gets over 70%  Meru votes,Raila cant manage 30%. This scenario has been brought by gatheca ignoring Meru development plight now this is the price to pay.

Yes compared to Kibaki - Merus think Uhuru has mistreated them.
Miraa and Mau road exclusively restricted to kikuyuland.
Muthaura basically run Kibaki gov.
But Uhuru has had Kiraitu by his gonads.
Though Kiraitu is playign delay tactics.
