Friends,

There has been a very big lie that has been peddled across the media for a very long time and it needs to be completely dismantled.

(1) After independence, Instead of Kenyatta allocating, subdividing coffee and sisal plantations back to his landless kikuyu people, He allocated that land to himself and his friends.

(2) He then went ahead to allocated land to his kikuyu people in Kalenjin ancestral land. That caused a lot of rifts between him and Jaramogi the leader of the Luo people. Many Kalenjin leaders like chelagat Mutai protested against this land issue.In order to protect the Kikuyu who were already in Kalenjin land, He appointed Daniel Moi as vice president to ensure that the Kikuyu were politically protested and bring stability in government.

(3) After Kenyatta died,Moi (Kalenjin) took over in 1978.

(4) In 1982,Luo Air force men and some kikuyu tried to overthrow president Moi.

(5) After Moi defeated the coup masterminds, He recruited majority Kalenjin's in the Police,Military,Intelligence and provincial administration from 1982 to 2002 which means that Kibaki was just a president on paper when he took over in 2003.

(6) Lets go back to 1992,The Kenya constitution stated that you did not need 50% threshold to become president.KANU used security apparatus, provincial administration and media monopoly to cause chaos and displace luo,kikuyu,luhya and kisii to ensure they won the election. It is well documented in the akiwumi report.

(7) In 2011,That why former GSU commandant CHERAMBOSS in the Moi Government was charged at ICC for war crimes because senior security chiefs in the former Moi gov used their old networks to unleash and plan violence in 2007.

( In short, There has never been Kalenjin warriors, It was just KANU using security machinery to go start civil war to ensure total control.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE VIOLENCE TO WIN ELECTIONS TODAY?

Its not possible for the following reasons:

(a) The ICC

(b) The constitution places a 50% threshold to win an election. That means No single tribe can win an election. Ruto needs Kikuyu and Luhya votes to win the 2022 presidential election. That means he wouldn't want even a single case of violence because that would cost his political career popularity wise in Mt Kenya and Mulembe nation.

(c) War would only lead to dismantling of Kenya as a republic and nobody would want that because  it means all rich politicians would loose control of their wealth in new republics and nation states through legislation.

(d) The Kenya police and army is now multi ethnic,

THERE CAN NEVER BE VIOLENCE IN KENYA,NEVER.

You're wrong totally from the word go.
British came to Kenya - signed peace deals - or forcefully acquired land
Kalenjin, Maasai, and Kikuyu land - some in coast- was mostly taken away by the British - and turned into white highlands.
When Mzungu left - it gave Kenya gov money to resettle people back into white highlands.
Kalenjin, Maasai and Coast protested the decision
Saying their land should revert back to original owners.
Kenyatta & Jaramogi said it was now modern kenya where willing buy willing seller would buy land everywhere.
Kalenjin and others were unhappy.
Anyway Kalenjin land at least - was taken over by Jomo Kenyatta and his people, Jaramogi and his people, Masinde Muliro and his people,
Nyachae and his people.
This is because Kalenjin had lost in KADU and the new KANU guys pretty much influence the land resettlement fund to bring millions of their people to rift valley.
Remember btw 1952 to 1962 - Kikuyus had basically been shipped back to Central - and confined to restricted villages as Mau Mau war contaiment.
In 1960s therefore Kalenjin watched with aghast as millions of Kikuyus, Luos, Kisii and Luhyas descended on their ancestral land.
They were very unhappy
And still are very unhappy.
Jaramogi and Luos took over the sugar belt - with Jaramogi grabbing 500 acres in Muhorini (Muhorini is kalenjin word)
Luos settled in Nyando valley - from Kibos to chemelil to got alila to muhoroni - infact all the way to Kipkelion and nandi kibos.
In 1992 a few of those in Kericho district - Kipkelion and nandi - were evicted
Famously in Thesalia farm
Kikuyu land grab was even more profound.
Luhya land grab of Tranzoia at behest of Masinde Muliro also big.

Why is war easy to start in Kalenjin land.

Kalenjin not only have the capacity to quickly engage in war but also still have the ambition to recover the land.

Therefore they will use any opportunity like a stolen election to try to recover the land.

Therefore it's important not to give them that opportunity.

2007 was such opportunity - when Luos were fighting for democracy - Kalenjin were recovering their land.

Moi used police gangs to harass these migrant communities in the name of warriors.
