Who told you everyone loves freedom?...don't be a simpleton like George Bush. Some cultures are virtue centric, examples include Iran and most Arab/Islamic countries. Freedom centric cultures are Western cultures, and those of us who were influenced by them. The world is complex.

I don't think he is denying the world is complex. He is expressing his preferences. I also have a loathing for systems that subjugate personal freedoms and what I consider basic human rights "for the greater good".

I have 3 good Chinese friends. I met in my professional life. They all love to be free. They are like me and I want their families in mainland China to have the same freedoms. I am loyal to my friends. I am not a ideologue but a pragmatic person. I was willing at first to buy the ccp line that they were reforming at their society pace. However what we are seeing with General HOSTILITY XI is that he wants to be a mini MAO. he is 70 years late. He got go and I hope Jiang faction gets its pound of flesh from him

USA was a democracy, but Trump redefined it and now nobody knows what it is
Turkey was another democracy, turned autocratic.
Russia was a democracy, until Putin redefined it by poisoning any opposition and redefined it.
China is a communist wanna be democratic, but currently autocratic.

Well summarized. You know the funny thing is that Sub-saharan africa is democratizing and is enjoying a period of relative peace. While the West is turmoil. Can you imagine Nigerian is on their 5th peaceful elections
