Yes, Ruto cares deeply about Kenya's transformation. As an insider, Ruto fell apart with the President because of the big four agenda to help ordinary Kenyans. The target for DP was 4 million jobs, primarily young people through Govt/private partnership investment in the targeted areas. In early (Mid Jan 2018, the President briefed the DP about shelving the agenda and finishing BBI first in a year or so, and DP uttered a big NO. A few days later, Uhuru and his handlers started to dismantle the big four meetings spearheaded by DP. The rest is history. Had Uhuru heed the DP to put all the efforts on the big four agenda, Kenya would be in a better state. Raila's led insurgency and violence would have subsided over time! The handshake was crafted by Uhuru's handlers to defeat the powerful DP in Jubilee and for Uhuru to have leeway to deviate from promises they had made to people. Another way was to mutilate Jubilee to completely finish DP in 2022 because that big NO DP uttered that fateful day. To me, that is the guy that wants Kenya's transformation if you can stand up to hisr boss when clearly wrong.

Not mortgage, but he paid my school fees and dowry back in the day. On dams, the allegation remains baseless. The folks who are responsible are in courts and DP's name has not been mentioned anywhere in the court documents.

So Uhuru had BBI plans in Jan 2018 well before the handshake in Mar 2018 ? This is questionable .
However I agree Uhuru handlers brought in Raila to cut down Ruto. Primarily to loot.

Yes, BBI was in an offing way early, though it did not have an exact name. As soon as the election was completed, Uhuru and his handlers planned to defeat/weaken Ruto almost immediately. The easiest route was to come up with anything that interests Raila, and constitutional change was quickly cooked. BBI, Coalition Bill, etc were all aimed at weakening Ruto. Raila has no significant beef with DP; Uhuru and his handlers are. Raila just found an opportunity! If Raila were to chicken out, he might do Ruto Tosha before Kaloi or someone else.

My understanding is that Uhuru had plans to cut down Ruto imeadiately after being re-elected him ans his cronies they had to eat.
However at the begining he was against the idea of a referendumn. When he saw that Raila was adamant he had to change tact and hijacked the whole process.
As for Uhuru beef with Ruto & Rutos beef Raila. Nothing is personal its all about interests. Apart from Uhuru handlers and some Go t officials who think can cling on power post 2022, Uhuru has no personal issues with Ruto. Once reality dawns in him that he will be out of power he will negotiate with Ruto ans sober up.

It was Jubilees Manifesto consolidated into 4 points by Nzioka from Statehouse.
Majority of Jubilee politicians didnt think it was achievable in that format .

Opiyo has never agreed with this.
Kigaliism of mwafrika cities is bullshit. We need more of India, Indonesia, Thailand and such cities where hawkers and street foods are allowed to operate freely. Such would enable model mobile kiosks which take up less space and free up walking space as seen in Nairobi and other towns where hawkers with little merchandise take too much space because they have to spread it out on cartons and sacks for ease of running from brutal kanjo.

'Clean' cities are very anti people. The should be a resource utilized to the max.

I think both can be achieved - clean cities with hawkers - all it takes is organization - otherwise there is big risk of become another Nigeria - where it's just hawking
