I think this together existing Isiolo - Moyale - and hopefully soon Lamu to Lodwar to South Sudan border should open up the northern kenya.

I also wish Kenya could work with south sudan to tarmac from the border to Juba - mere 300Km - will open up international trade.

Also Tarmacing Garisaa all the way to Kismaiyo - will also improve kenya/somalia border.

Kenya has to focus NORTH - South Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.

That road will transform that area by far and add to the gdp in long run. However places like northern Meru will see proper conflict over land 90% is not demarcated with no title deeds. Rumor has it Kibaki era bigwigs from the region grabbed hundreds of acres along that corridor

This is good for Meru/Isiolo - it will be next Nairobi - center of the north. Shida you Merus need to start using Isiolo port for ferrying miraa and such. Start with buying small planes to fly to Mogadigishu.  Fly bananas and others stuff to Wajir and Somalia.

Kiraitu and others should start flying to Isiolo....and soon enough that airport will pick up
