He needs to look for his own kingmaker.  Even Biden had a Kingmaker in the name of James Clayburn.  Ruto now is his own kingmaker.  Lets see how that works out for him. He needs a towering figure in Mt. Kenya, or any other voter-rich regions to vouch for him.  So far he has nada. All he has are hangers-on whom he bought.  You need independent minded strong leaders who owe you nothing to come to your side and support you.  Those are the qualities of a true leader.

There is a reason why flaunting wealth is bad in politics. Ruto will soon find out very soon.

Gideon and Philiph started building their own wealth in 90s - outside of their father stable - and engaged in everything that could bring big money - guns, drugs, cigarettes, corruption - and Uhuru also started waking up from depending on stipend from Mama Ngina and his bro - and making his own cash - in the late 90s. From 2008 as finance minister - he definitely made more money for himself and family - while pretending like Jakom - to be non-corrupt.

For someone like Ruto - he doesnt hide his wealth - being born into poverty - he flaunt it - the Gideons and Uhurus dont.

Uhuru laundering is not his own set up this has been in place since Jomo Kenyatta days. When kenyatta knew that he could one day be dead or overthrown and leave his wife and kids destitute he opened accounts in Switzerland.

If you read Kroll report you will see moi was using Indians and but his key guys were mossad type of characters.

My own thinking is that these two guys just inherited their family well established laundering networks. Screwball is not any lethal he is just a spoilt kid. Now Kalenjin are the new Luos;
Luhya if they unite will play something.
