I'm not sold on this idea. The feed is going to cost an arm and a leg.

I generally don't like confined raising of animals, it causes diseases.

Nothing beats pasture raised open ground operation.

Provided it is done using holistic grazing plan, animals will work wonders for the land.

Instead of being a liability, livestock will be an asset.

Sleep is good, death is better; but of course, The best would be never to have been born at all.

Which open grazing land? There is very little of that.

Animal breeding or better breed is single most important denominator in livestock keeping.

Such sheep if you read are good grazers, good mothers, good weight gainers and have good meat - and that is why they cost 70k

Without modern chicken - you wont have eggs or meat.

Without modern cow breeds - you wont have milk.

The world has to continue researching better breeds of cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chicken

I don't drink milk from conventional milk only Kienyenji same with eggs.

No quality. Only eat pasture raised animal products.

You're a middle class - who got to decide - many people eat whatever is available and affordable. Many poor people - food is big deal - and they spend their entire lifes basically worrying about food - like a lion in Maasai Mara.
Breeding is everything - in livestock - followed by  Vertinary Medicine and FEEDS.
For agricluture - it's Fertilizers + Quality Seeds+Pesticides.
