Anything is possible... esp where billions are involved.

Gachagua was deep in Moi system. Moi people said the preferred way to eliminate opponents was a road accident - few cars trail you - coordinate with oncoming lorry - then block you - leaving you with no option except hit the guard rails like Gakuru or you go flying in a ditch like Kibaki.

Earlier during the hearing, Dennis Ireri, a motor vehicle inspector with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) said the vehicle braking system was intact and in good working condition.

He said there were no skid marks at the scene of the accident at Makenji area, an indication that the driver did not try to stop the vehicle before the accident.

Okay - let see - there is reasonable doubt to summon those guys - and for the inquest.

Rigathi Gachagua is a big time thief, but this sounds weird to me. Too much speculation. Not sure if Gachagua is so clever. There has to be more clues pointing at the suspects before summoning them for a hearing. Speculation and rumours are not enough.

Okay - let see - there is reasonable doubt to summon those guys - and for the inquest.

To kill Gakuru the way he died, his driver would have to know about that railing, the exact speed and angle to hit it, without putting himself in harms way.  Not likely.

He had no driver. He was driving himself. Obviously if you want to kill someone like him - you have people inside - telling you - he is going to nairobi tomorrow - probably a watchman - telling you ndio huyo anatoka - then you trail him with one or two cars - looking for the best spot to induce the accident.

Where would be the best spot - a ditch that would send him flying - a rock - or barrier like that - that he would hit with such impact.

What to do next is to block him - from behind - and from the side - and have him side railed - so two cars at minimum would be required to finish him off. One blocking the rear - and other to sharply turn into his lane - to avoid hiting the intruding car - and to avoid being hit from behind- you dont break - you go for the rail - and kill yourself.

To kill Gakuru the way he died, his driver would have to know about that railing, the exact speed and angle to hit it, without putting himself in harms way.  Not likely.

He said the Mercedes, chase car and canter were all on the right side and the Mercedes Benz driver tried to overtake the canter from the left side but said at no point did the canter hit the Mercedes.

So this just at entry of I guess of dual carriage - after Kenol. I have driven there so many times from embu; it like folks who had been hard pressed in traffic all the way from Makutano to Maguyu to Kenol; suddenly everyone step on the gas; seem on this particular case; there was a chase car; and gov Mercedes all trying to overtake a canter'...the usual nonsense of chase car trying to tail gate the governor car. So Mercedes might have gone for extra space on the left - and the chase car overtook on the right?

After having had two near-death accidents; 2009 and 2012; I drive my car very slowly; I rarely go past 80-100kms. Never beyond that. In 2008-2010 I used to hit 190 - even 200kms, especially in Narok. I was crazy. I had this VW passat that could really hit the road. And I had an idiot of a brother who was cheering me all the way.

Then I crashed in Mombasa road - VW written off - and bought a toyota - then also crashed btw a lorry, KBS bus and a matatu; but in all the case I was always belted up; I lost 40K clean money I had withdrawn in my first crash to the matatu who rescued me :) - I saw them take my money and leave - in both case - I thought I was dead only to be awoken - gari inachomeka - the other one I was was just getting banged from all angles- somehow my seat move to the center of the car.

Drive Slowly.
