They have six months - kenyans are very forgiving - what matters is what they were doing on the ground - if only the party or company they were keeping was wrong - they will make it - after correcting that mistake - but if many other things were wrong - they are gone.

I remember Joyce Laboso dumped ODM the last minute - and made it back - because she had good development record.

Defecting with bad development record is stupid - they can as well make money like Mutahi Ngunyi selling fake news - like Deep State will make Raila PORK

Yeah if Baba can pay their 5yrs salary and deals they could make when they get booted for going against the grain; they will troop back;
My estimate is Raila will need 200M per Mp.
Mp get 20M house mortage in parliament at 3 percent.
7 Million car loan
5 Million car grant.
Pension if they do two terms.
They manage 100m in CDf - with possibility of eating 1/3 of that - at minumum they eat 10 Percent - 10M.
And their annually salary 10M - times 5 - 50M.
So min asking prize to buy an MP for 5yrs is very steep.
Even Uhuru wa Kenyatta cannot afford.

Of course the main motivation for joining politics in a country like Kenya is Money.
In the developed world - where job and business opportunities are plentiful - and corruption non-existent - only those who really care about people - go into politics. It very unlikely you'll make money abroad in politics - just a good name maybe.

As for the no - I expect by August - Jubilee will remain with 10 mps only - Maybe Ngunjiri, Maore, Kimunya - I mean those holding positions in parliament - like whips and etc -.

Otherwise Ruto would have successfully moved Jubilee to UDA - which is great political genius level move

Raila can go and have Jubilee any day from now. It's free for any takers.

As for Uhuru - he better be nice - because he can even get impeached - and Ruto can take over - well Ruto will let him finish and go - but gov majority is gone - and Mps will flex muscles if Uhuru try to use muscle going forward.

O Gee, only 4?? What happened to the massive Tangatanga 70%. Actually you told us 60 out of 68 Gema MPs were Tangatanga - so it should be an avalanche. Obviously this lucklustre isn't it. Jubilee 2018 had 100% Gema - so few Wamuchomba will defect -  to top up Kuria and Ndindi Nyoro - max 20% is all Ruto will ever get in the mountain. Notice how there are no Meru/Embu defecting 

By now Ruto UDA should be sweeping Gema - not camping there and fighting  incoherent Gov Dr Nyoro and Kimunya in Muguga.

Kiambu alone - Uhuru home county - of 11 mps - 9 are with Ruto - plus one more coming soon in Kiambaa. Only Peter Mwathi of Limuru will stick with Uhuru and escort him to IChwari.

The trend is the same elsewhere....

Kiambaa by-election results and the merger with ODM are the trigger events - otherwise the ground is anti-UhuDinga
