I am glad you have now seen the light. The last time I suggested that the government was discriminating against its citizens by refusing to fund those who enter private institutions you opposed my stance.
I have to this day never understood why students who attend private institutions from primary schools to universities do not get the same tax payer funded subsidies those attending Government institutions do. Subsidies are given to the student NOT the school. The money should follow the student. Any shortfalls arising from higher costs in private schools should then be borne by the student.
In essence however, I found out that private schools cost LESS than public schools. In time we shall find that Private universities will cost equally less than those corrupt public edifices.
The fees charged in public schools for example is almost the same as what private schools take. However add the subsidies provided by the state in form of CASH, Books, Equipment and Personnel and you find that we should get rid of these schools if they can't be run less wastefully.
This need to be cascade throughout - gov should pay "capitation" for any service - and let people choose where they'll get the service - be it health or education or even roads.
