EPO was found on her..during an out of competition test. Yes some are due to mistake by our quacks dispensing drugs in pharmacies..others are deliberate. Her coaching stable has had many cheats..so am inclined to think she did it.

True rv has alluded that cheating is rampant..he is an insider in althetics.

Pundit, what was Jeptoo found with, the drug, I mean? Do you know? I recall reading some similar claim about another Kenyan athlete last year, but the athlete had received medical prescription from a doctor in Kenya for a regular Kenyan ailment, he didn't know--so it went--that the meds had one of those substances they are supposed to avoid. I wonder if Jeptoo's might be the same or similar case?
Well, that would be very sad. It will hang like a dark cloud over everyone else's achievements.

That seem far-fetched theory. You possibly cannot race another marathon immediately. Those guys take more than 3 months to recover. It really upon doping agency to ensure they test and test athletes..in and out of competition. They should be able to drop in Eldoret anytime..and demand for blood test.
There might be plenty of truth to the Kenyan doping allegations.

A pattern I have observed and am thinking is related to doping.  The winner of a marathon immediately preceding does not win the next one.

In other words, if I win Chicago, I am not going to win New York in order to minimize suspicions.  In some cases they don't even show up for the next one.

Samuel Wanjiru may have been the last clean champion in these races.  He won one, moved onto the next and won again.
That makes sense.

The precipitous drop in some of these records over the past few years, often by first time winners past their prime should also have raised eyebrows.

Yes,

Jeptoo tested positive for EPO.

EPO is the cardinal sin in athletics or sports generally. It is like HGH in baseball.

It's interesting that her manager said that it WAS NOT NECESSARY ot have her 'B' sample tested. I don't know why.
