Title: Early Campaigns for 2022
Post by: Omollo on December 22, 2018, 12:36:11 PM
As I promised when I do get the opportunity I will resume posting. Here I am.

In fact I will be posting at the two nipates. I had anticipated that happening in 2021 but as it looks now Ruto has pulled a fasdt one on all of us and started the 2022 manenos a whole 4 and a half years ahead of schedule. That has meant the predicted split in Jubilee has manifested itself much earlier than predicted.

To complicate matters, Uhuru feasring the LDP vs Kibaki problem (2003 - 2007) entered in to an NDP- KANU alliance as Moi- Raila did between 1997 - 2002. This is meant as a buffer should Ruto and his diehard Kalenjin MPs frustrate Uhuru's par, iamentary program.

If he had asked me I would have told him Ruto would never stand up to him before he is elected President. Right now Ruto would gladly drink Uhuru's pee in public to demostrate his loyalty. He is willing to undergo every humiliation.

One needs to go back in history to the 1930s to find similar swallowing of humiliation. When Stalin came to power in 1924 he found a weak Soviet Union that had been forced in to war then forced out. Hardly had he been in office long enough before Germany re-emerged under Hitler. Hitler barred from arming himself set up factories in Russia and made Stalin produce whatever he needed. The demands kept increasing and Stalin knowing that Hitler needed the ecuse to invade kept fulfilling them.

It is then that he decided to also start secretly arming himself. Thus for every tank he sent to Hitler, he hid two somewhere. He used the opportunity to improve Russian heavy industry and thus brough his country from feudalism to industrialization is a histical flash.

Ruto has decided to endure humiliation but accumulate wealth. His mistake though has been to display it.

Ruto never stopped campaigning in 2013 after Jubilee first term. I think you're noticing it now because he is doing it for himself. If Uhuru want to continue as PM - he will do it under Ruto gov. Raila is being played 10-nil.Nobody now has the guts to take on Ruto - the man despite campaign early has had time to do master and phd - build his business and warchest - and basically manages to be everywhere anywhere.

Anyway as the year closes - I think Ruto has crossed the rubicon in western - esp the Bukusu wing. That in addition to Coast - means Ruto has more than enough insurance against GEMA.

As 2019 start - Ruto need to focus on Gusii - while keeping an eye on coast & western. Once he has wrapped those - nothing will stop him.

RVP.. too early, too early but this one I won’t let slip. Luhyaland will not line up behind WSR czar of Sugoi, least of all the proudest of them, the Bukusu! Those crowds exciting you is people who have been bused in by the tumbocrats. Ruto is and will be anathema to Western when the rubber hits the road.

Let me take this opportunity to wish all folk and your loved ones a Merry Christmas ???? .... wishing you all the joy and blessings of Christmas.

And a healthy, tranquil, prosperous and blessed 2019!

We leave behind the challenges, heartbreaks, disappointments and tribulations of 2018 and march forward into 2019!

God bless...

Raila crushed the Bukusu pride - Mr Rectangular - and since then Ruto has had it easy - after appointing Ken Lusaka. Bukusu have everything to gain by aligning with Ruto - the Kalenjin diaspora in Transzoia and Bungoma - will make it easy for Ruto backed Luhya candidate there - and then Rectangular is looking for something to hold onto.

Right now Ruto is really looking good in Western. They have two options - go again to Raila and get shafted - or try Ruto. Their own - are too broke and too stupid to get anywhere serious.

Doubt Raila will ever rise from the ashes of betrayal. He is a professional presidential candidate who pimps his win for few pieces of silver, sacrificing hope, aspirations and lives  of millions kenyans. 2017 - 2018 veil has been lifted no more kidneys for the king.

Omorro, I think you will have to content with working only on one Nipate. Choo.com had a flawed business model from inception. If I am not wrong, it was hinged on Raira-bashing. Now with handshake maneno, and Mugo wa Wairumu (aka @jackal) neutered and behind bars and @Nattydread no longer posting, it has become a lonely place and closed. BTW you won't hear @Natty talk of web visits stats anymore.... it is that bad.

Congrats @Veritas for your foresight. Members have sustainable substance on .org to chew on.

From the grapevine

You've heard this story before.

That there exists three kinds of politicians: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what's happening. William Ruto might not like this constant reminder, but it doesn't take away the fact that the March 2018 handshake was the day he watched his 2022 gameplan go up in smoke.

And this is why.

All political mathematics revolving around the identity of the next president of Kenya must always take into account the Kalenjin, Luo and the Kikuyu vote. Voting as a bloc, the candidate with the support of any two of those three communities will always be the man to beat going into any general election.

William Ruto had Kalenjins and Kikuyus United in one accord, making sure he had an easy stroll into 2022, until the March 2018 handshake brought Raila Odinga back into the equation. The chess grandmaster of Kenyan politics returns to the main fold just when his pupil was beginning to behave like a silverback gorilla.

Raila Odinga's reentry into the big league makes it easy for two things to happen to William Ruto.

One.

If Kikuyus decide not to honor their promise and back another candidate for 2022, and in the likely event that William Ruto wins the presidential vote but the win is stolen from him, it will be very difficult for William Ruto to foment a revolution.

This should be a no brainer. Only Raila Odinga can destabilize the national government by paralyzing operations in Kenya's three main cities; Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu. The most important town William Ruto commands is Eldoret, a rural insignificant outpost that will take only one teargas canister to be lobbed and protestors will scatter like Mike Sonko's pidgin English.

William Ruto's anti-government chokehold on Eldoret is made much more difficult with the presence of the Kenya Defence Forces Baracks in Soi. They also have a bullet factory there in Eldoret so if any Kalenjin militiaman thinks they will swing a rungu against outsiders if William Ruto's vote is stolen in 2022, they have a lot of reasons to think again. The government was caught offguard in 2007. They have made a promise that it will not happen again.

Two.

The only assured avenue for William Ruto to be president is for Uhuru Kenyatta to die midway into his second term, upon which William Ruto takes the oath of office to see off the remainder of the term. The last time a Kenyan president died in office, his Deputy took over the reigns of power, and you all know how long it took to get him out of that place.

William Ruto is a poor man's Daniel Moi without the wisdom that should come with it. Daniel Moi knew when to stop, William Ruto doesn't know when to stop. If anything happens to Uhuru Kenyatta, and anything can happen to Uhuru Kenyatta, and William Ruto takes over the reigns of power, you can be sure that Daniel Moi's 24 year record as president of Kenya will have found a suitable match.

Do not be fooled that David Murathe's noise is a hollow one. Kikuyus have no problem honoring their political debt owed to William Ruto. The only misgiving they have is whether William Ruto can be trusted to honor back the debt when his turn to step down comes around. They are saying they'd rather have any other Kalenjin but not William Ruto, because it took them 24 years to get back the presidency from Daniel Moi.

They have been once bitten, and they are now twice shy.

The  "Hand Shake" has been the most consequential symbolic single political act in Kenya and yet the most difficult to analyze  beyond the immediate unprecedented political and economic stability. One thing became very obvious, although the Kikuyu Kalenjin coalition had the numbers to "win" elections in if topped-off with stealing votes and strong-arming the supreme court, the kikuyu/kalenjin coalition lacked the ability to bring about political stability in the country. The handshake also revealed that Ruto's political life was dependent on the continued Kikuyu-luo political animosity while Uhuru and Raila's political popularity thrived when the tensions between the two tribes were lessened. The handshake therefore provided the country with a formulae for political stability. 1) we have to find a leader who will continue to lessen the tension between the kikuyus and the Luos and not one like Ruto who depends on the heightened animosity of these two tribes to win. 2) ideally the next Kenyan president should not be a kikuyu or a kelenjin and definitely not Ruto because that would only take us back to the post "handshake" Kenya. That Kenya was so ugly that nobody wants to go back to it.

So whenever he posts I read keenly. :)

What Pajero has posted here is common thinking Kule kwao as can be seen from what this lady posted, which obviously will make uncomfortable reading for RV Pundit: Usikose kusoma comments pia.

I hope msando did not believe that lie of everlasting life from that old senile deceptive, greedy coward called Raila. There are millions of honorable kenyans, kenyans who I encountered in 2017 campaigns, Kenyans who would rather sleep hungry than take a single penny from jubilee thieves. Kenyans who were ready to pay the ultimate price for a better kenya. I dont know what kind of God you believe in but the God I believe in is not a deceptive thief.

The handshake you parrot here day in and day out is nothing but a few elite payout agreement where Raila got paid billions of shilling in exchange of supporting election thieves

You are going nuts bro. Raila had nothing to do with Msando's death and nothing you say will make him responsible. Msando died a horrible death in the hands of uhuruto and the responsibility cannot be placed on Raila not matter how much you try or want. There are many unresolved political deaths in Kenya from Pinto Gama to Msando and blaming Raila will not work.

1. Raila is a deceptive, greedy coward
2. Msando paid ultimate price for quest to deliver a free and fair elections. The people who killed msando are the same people Raila ran to for handshake in exchange for blood money.
3.  The deceptive coward has no honor. Before accepting handcheque he should have at least demanded justice for msando and other martyrs that paid ultimate price
4. There are thousands of poor Kenyans who would rather die poor than betray their fellow country man or their country
5. Handshake is only an agreement between 2 thieves to steal from Kenyans uninterrupted while stupido like you shout themselves hoarse here handshake handshake ad infinitum.
6. Raila as long as he live will be on the ballot so he can cash out on elections. It's a business for him.
7. Handshake or not as long as there are no free and fair elections in kenya the thieves will continue to determine the outcomes.

Missed the point by a mile. Let me try again
1. Raila is a deceptive, greedy coward
That's your opinion. I would like to see some acts of selfleness and bravery from "internet worriors" like you for comparison purposes.
2. Msando paid ultimate price for quest to deliver a free and fair elections. The people who killed msando are the same people Raila ran
to for handshake in exchange for blood money.
Raila only shook Ouru's hand. If you believe Ouru killed Msando, provide the evidence. However, even if Ouru killed Msando, Raila has no power of prosecuting Ouru.  Raila and Ouru's handshake has brought peace, and political stability which has prevented more deaths, pain and suffering. Msando was not working for Raila, he was working for IEBC. His death is very unfortunate but to hang it around Raila's neck is the epitome of BS.

3.  The deceptive coward has no honor. Before accepting handcheque he should have at least demanded justice for msando and other martyrs that paid ultimate price.
The handshake had nothing to do with Msando, and Raila was not responsible for Msando's life or death.  Raila saved the lives of many Kenyans who were being slaughtered by extending a hand of peace to Ouru
4. There are thousands of poor Kenyans who would rather die poor than betray their fellow country man or their country
Nobody is stopping you or any other Kenyan from leading those who want to die. I know millions of Kenyans who do not want to die over politics. They would rather live and solve the problems with time rather than cause chaos and suffering for even more Kenyans. They have seen it happen elsewhere like in Liberia and they prefer handshake to foolhardiness.

5. Handshake is only an agreement between 2 thieves to steal from Kenyans uninterrupted while stupido like you shout themselves hoarse here handshake handshake ad infinitum.
If its only between two people and the so called "internet worriors" are the majority then why do you need Raila. Just bring your General home, mobilize the masses and invade the statehouse. What are you waiting for. You still need Raila to do everything for you and if he refuses, you call him names. Raila is not your dog my friend. Lead the bloody revolution- until then its not even funny calling other people cowards.

6. Raila as long as he live will be on the ballot so he can cash out on elections. It's a business for him.

You can always vote against him, if  that's your opinion of him. Its called democracy.

7. Handshake or not as long as there are no free and fair elections in kenya the thieves will continue to determine the outcomes.

The thieves were determining the outcome of elections before the handshake, so blaming the old problems of Kenya on handshake is silly if not plain stupid.

You are going nuts bro. Raila had nothing to do with Msando's death and nothing you say will make him responsible. Msando died a horrible death in the hands of uhuruto and the responsibility cannot be placed on Raila not matter how much you try or want. The handshake is nothing more than Raila capitulating and surrendering to avoid another treason charge. The rest are nonsense. Ruto is sleepwalking to PORK and Uhuru is not an idiot to start a disastrous war with Kalenjin that will endanger more than 1M of their people and perhaps permanently make their lives in Rift Valley impossible.

No one was going to arrest Raila for treason. Before swearing in Raila had already accepted payment. People notified Raila about huge money movement through Junet Mohammed which he dismissed.

No one was going to arrest Raila for treason. Before swearing in Raila had already accepted payment. People notified Raila about huge money movement through Junet Mohammed which he dismissed.

Yep.   Baba is above the law because he has enough fanatics to bring the country to its knees.  The handshake was pragmatic.  It allowed baba and kamwana to pull back from the brink while saving face.  For kamwana, it had the added benefit of allowing him to throw the hustler under the bus without losing sleep.

You seem to be the only one who think so. Even Ruto does not think he is sleeping walking into the statehouse. The Kalenjin cannot afford to start a war against all Kenyans. They have too much to lose and Ruto is not worth it.

Stop stalking us and give Kenyans a break from your 2022 obsession

White noise is usually an abomination unless it lures you to sleep. Used in political lexicon, white noise is bad. It can be infuriating.

That’s what all the talk of 2022 is – white noise. I agree with ODM’s Raila Odinga and Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta – the new-found twain political buddies – that too much talk of the 2022 succession is bad for Kenya’s soul.

Kenya is only a year removed from a catastrophic electoral season. Yet, like the biblical Satan – the once powerful and beautiful fallen angel – some mandarins are tempting us towards the precipice again. I saw it in Liberia where warlord Charles Taylor – who rots in a jail at The Hague – took a country to the hell of damnation.

There’s a rule in Employment 101. The cardinal principle is that don’t give a job to a candidate who craves it too much. The logic is that a maniacal obsession with a particular job is evidence of a deep psychosis. An employee – and politicians are the public’s employees – should have a healthy relationship with a job.

There’s something like too much love, or infatuation. Often, such obsession leads to stalking, or the forcible self-imposition of the stalker on his victim. These stories don’t usually end well. The stalker wants the victim to “love” him. The victim doesn’t, and can’t. You know how the movie usually ends. That’s why politicians should stop stalking us for 2022. Give us a break.

I am worried about all the talk for 2022 that’s coming out of DP William Ruto and his camp. Personally, I don’t begrudge Mr Ruto his ambitions. Every person needs to dream and reach for the skies. But my concern is that while Mr Ruto is entitled to run for president – every day of the week and twice on Sundays – there’s something amiss.

The language that he and his acolytes deploy is either illiberal or outright intimidation and harassment. Plain threats are woven in his campaign. He wants to clear the field of all worthy competitors and smother his opponents with the kamuti [deadly Kamba witchcraft] of harambee. His motto – if you won’t submit, I will stuff money in your mouth.

I admit that as they say in America, “politics ain’t beanbag.”  Which means politics isn’t child’s play. In fragile societies – and Kenya is one – politics should be approached carefully. We saw what happened in 2008 after elections the previous year. We saw what almost happened after the debacle of elections last year.

Luckily for Kenya – I know some are deeply unhappy about this – Mr Odinga and Mr Kenyatta decided to take the road to Damascus. Like the biblical Paul, the two titans of Kenyan politics sought salvation. They avoided turning the ignition key to Kenya’s political bomb. The fight between the two would’ve trampled mwananchi underfoot.  That’s why I made a virtue of necessity and supported the handshake.

To be sure, I don’t want to put all the blame on Mr Ruto. He isn’t alone in committing this sin. But he and his lieutenants are the most bellicose. My good friend Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has anointed himself Mr Ruto’s Svengali. He swats Mr Ruto’s detractors like flies. He’s forgotten what the constitution teaches, although he’s a “learned friend.”

Like a dragon, he spits fire at enemies, far and near. Like a viper, he shoots poison at you if you so much as look at Mr Ruto sideways. Which begs the question – what would Mr Murkomen do to protect Mr Ruto if the latter ascended to State House? Would we be forced to live in hiding?

To his credit, Mr Kenyatta has put his foot down and told Kenyans – especially Mr Ruto’s boosters among the Agikuyu – to pipe down and instead work for the electorate. Last week, Mr Ruto’s errand boys and girls in the Mt Kenya region took a supplicant’s petition – ostensibly on behalf of Mr Ruto – to Mr Kenyatta. I hear the piece of paper didn’t see the light of day, or the glow of the night.

Instead, the son of the Burning Spear cut the motley crew to size. In a stunner – defying a narrative advanced by Mr Ruto’s men and women – Mr Kenyatta told the assembled peonage that he will shock them with his pick for successor when the time comes.

African states have been destroyed by men with blind ambition. Every African state that failed, or collapsed, was brought to its knees by a megalomaniac. Think of Mengistu Haile Mariam and Ethiopia. Siad Barre in Somalia. Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga of Zaire, today’s DRC. His name said it all – no imagination needed. Samuel Kanyon Dole of Liberia. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. The list is as long as the damned wreckage of African states. Let’s not go there.

Pundit

I will celebrate when you stop thinking the pledge of loyalty of a politician = support of his ethnic group. We've been through this so many times that I begin to question either your motives or this wilful ignorance and inability to learn. I know you're not an idiot, so why pretend to be one?

Did Mungaro bring along the Giriama? I understand Aisha Jumwa will bring them. Incidentally Mungaro will rejoin ODM for a credible shot at governorship.

About Lusaka study Musikari Kombo.  Note also that Lusaka is one of those people without a backbone and who is programmed to support government; in this case Uhuru not Ruto.

For the love of Jehova ( not Wanyama or Owuor) Lusaka just got clobbered in the last elections. He still represents the Bukusu?

Learn the Luhya bro: They are the only tribe in Kenya which rejected Vice Presidency twice and punished the two people who came to try to impress them with it. The Bukusu already seen a vice president. Unless Ruto is offering them the Presidency I can assure you they will not be impressed.

Raila never even tried to sell the Vice Presidency to Luhyas. If you find an audio or video clip of such a sell alert me. He was warned how irritating that is.

Lastly tell Ruto to drop Khalwale. He has won nobody votes in his political life. He latches on someone for money and coattails of another for votes. He's a light weight and a very expensive loud mouth who will turn against Ruto at the midnight hour. If in doubt go ask Kibaki.

RVP.. too early, too early but this one I won’t let slip.

Uhuru has to read signs of times and nip this in the bud. There is really no way of stopping kikuyu kalenjin war if Kikuyus do not back Ruto. That just the reality. That is the war we don't need.Uhuru has been warned.

There is always a way folks who have been sheltered from wars(real ones) and have never bothered to find out, tend speak.  With bravado; kifua mbele; balls cupped in one hand.  Sad.

I think the only way to stop Ruto ascendancy is for Uhuru to form a real coalition with Babu. The state machinery, his bottomless pockets and Babu’s eternal charisma would isolate Ruto and Kalenjins forever. Anything else and Ruto will pitia kati kati and as soon as he gets there he will dismantle GEMA machinery in government

The only beneficiary in such an arrangement would be 77yr old Babu finally becoming PORK. Uhuru has a term limit. Executive PM with PORK is a glorified duale. Going against Ruto would definitely put 1M kikuyu diaspora in RV in permanent state of war with Kalenjin. Uhuru should simply pick DPORK, negotiate for same 50-50 and retain Jubilee party leadership. He will retire a respected leader. Otherwise he will end up destabilizing and possibly destroying Kenya - and turn all 10yr effort in Jubilee into zero.

Ruto will pitia katikati inspite of Uhuru opposition. Kikuyus are going to vote him spite Uhuru. However ruto first order will be to dismantle kikuyus mafias network and replace it with a kalenjin one.

Kikuyus is riftvalley will still be beaten in 2027 when they will try to stop rutos second term.

There are 2 groups really:

1. Those accepting handouts from Ruto
2. Those who have yet to get their handouts.

All will desert him when the right whistle (not even a piccolo trumpet) is blown to mark the beginning of ethnic mobilization to support the right GEMA candidate.
Two classes of Kikuyu politicians have emerged this early.
1. Those who have "eaten" and are singing WSR from here to Mt Kenya. They once called themselves Tangatanga or Washenzi movement.
2. Those who like the one on Twirra are appealing to ethnic nationalism by daring RVs to evict them again. "We are not cowards. We won't be blackmailed forever." Apparently Mungiki died but was not buried.

If supporting Ruto means the dismantling of the GEMA Election Rigging Machine, you got me tempted! I can sacrifice a lot to see that machinery not in a scrap yard but liquid having been smelted in China to make metal loos.
