Collateral damage.   Like the dead NASA supporters.  I am not blaming Raila.  But it has been a while since he has been in it for wanjiku's sake.  Always looking out for number one.

All people look out for number one - possibly except mothers and monks/nuns. The issue is what good comes out of the pursuit. Kenya has room and still needs reformers - Railas, NGOs like TI, Omtatas & activists, etc. Who would check a corrupt, bloodletting hound like Ruto if not Raila? Uhuru is only out for himself and maybe Gema. Among the Big Trio Raila still reflects common folks than the others.

It's why I support the sleight of hand called Handshake. So long as the political map remains a threeway - Ruto's wanton greed and excesses will be checked - because there'll be viable alternatives. Compared to the crumbling Kanu 2.0 he has created while corrupting everyone. It's not so much whether he loses or not - while hoping he does - he can do his miracles in government but with proper checks in place.

Your take... a few Msandos or Jumas will be rubble. Uhuru is responsible for that,  not Raila.

Ruto must be mulling hard how to transfer the work he has done in Jubilee - the money and sweat - not to end up with zero work gain like ODM and UDM. He needs to register Jubilee Kenya :D - United Green Party sounds like URP kalenjin party. All the new parties are registered by kalenjin because he can't trust anyone. Folks can eat his cash and pull a Kamwaro.

Basically now he's marketing Jubilee which he doesn't control. He may just have to strike a deal with UhuRao - minus the smart alec hubris - which would be nothing less than PM. Only way Ruto makes it is to split the swara. Noone trusts the hound.

Maybe you can explain why it's not collateral damage?  I think his murder was not the end in itself.  He just happened to be in the way.

Also, Raila is perfectly comfortable ignoring it.

I thought Msando was working for IEBC and not NASA.

You are right.  I am not blaming Raila as mentioned in my first response.  But I also have no illusions that he has created some daylight between himself and pursuit of justice for Msando and his family.  Maybe it's for the greater good.  I think it's just inconvenience for him.

Tom Mboya, JJ Kariuki, Ouko, James Juma, Msando are a few hundred political murders that remain unsolved.
