Electricity required to charge EVs is generated from fossil fuels. So how is this progress? How is it more eco friendly? I don't get
Me too. Those Koreans really know their tech.
Tesla is expensive for nothing.
Evs are good to make you feel better but the externalities make them as harmful as old combustion engines. Those battery's will end up somewhere dumped. Only way out of this mess is quickly collapse the current civilization and we go back to bipedalism

This man gets it. We will run out of lithium before EV revolution gets going. Degrowth and human scale arrangement of living are the only viable routes left for humanity.
Electric vehicles was never about saving the environment. It was always just about prolonging the status quo for a few more years of recklessly burning through every remaining ecosystem, every remaining energy source. And in the end it was all for nothing. https://t.co/2DMNrooLot

I think space is a good spot to dump industrial waste. And to harvest energy from the stars. Humongous place. There is still hope.

:D :D
Child like techno optimism, folks need to realize sci-fi is not real.
It is impractical and prohibitively costly to send just 100 Kg of waste to space, let alone all the world's industrial waste to space.
Harvesting energy from the stars is a sci-fi concept popularized by Michio Kaku, we have to get real.
There is no hope of saving industrial society, inevitable contraction has to take place. The future is low tech agrarian society of our forebears. We will be back to wearing barkskins and hunter gathering rather than attaining singularity. The hyper-technological civilization created in the last 200 years was a cosmic one off enabled by fossil fuels. We have reached peak oil, the descent has started.
