Kenya Discussion / High probability of another Revolution in Kenya.
« Last post by Githunguri on Today at 01:47:42 PM »
On one hand you have GEMA who are very disgruntled.

With the ODM disintegration and Sifuna Ouster,You have another group of angry Luhyas and pockets of Jaluo who don't want Oburu.

Unlike 2024,When Raila saved Ruto presidency,Now Ruto doesn't have anyone to save him incase of protests.

Kambas and Kisiis are ANTI-RUTO.

The church has abandoned him completely.

The moment these forces merge,They may march to statehouse.

Remember you cannot trust kenyan security apparatus because no tribe has monopoly in the police  army or intelligence.

The moment protests begin in Busia Kakamega Machakos Thika Nairobi Nyeri,We may see a revolution in Kenya.

As of now,Ruto has no political capital beyond Rift valley. Its slippery.

Very high probability.

Kenya Discussion / Re: Next election will be Ruttomuhoho ticket

Ruto is all but done. What is giving him currency- is buying MPs, intimidating governors like Wamatangi, Njuki, Kahiga - and rigging by elections using brute force.

Byelections in ASAL like Isiolo give false optics.

Luhya is gone with DAP-K. Seems opposition has give the ticket to Kalonzo-Matiang'i. Eugene is pushing for Natembeya as great Super-Govenor  :D - who should be reelected unopposed. It of course a naked ploy to reduce competition at the top.

UDA and lame ODM need to zone - major hurdle - and still get kicked mercilessly by Tawe steamroller.

With Kindiki and Luo obviously Ruto has nothing to give MaDVD. Except hollow PCS.

Good to hear from you. You hit the nail on the head. Unless you are intending to run for political office and want to impress the locals with rural mansion - it waste of investment
Kenyans new keeping with Joneses is building palatial homes in rural areas. The funny thing is that as soon as the building is done none of them relocates to kwiinya permanently. This building is done using 401k funds and debt. So the person building must continue working to sustain the lifestyle they want to lead. What a waste of money. Nigerian Kids raised abroad are really getting vocal about their parents taking family resources and diverting them to build these white elephants in a place they haven't lived in decades.

Anyway kila nyani na starehe yake. There is no way i would invest $100k to build a house in kenya. Why leave a developed nation to go pretend to be super rich in a sea of poverty. There is one Luo guy that live deep in rural nyanza that is the biggest advocate of this
He is a good marketer of his contracting business
The man in his 50s has children that are toddlers. So you wonder why his life is upside-down. I like watching his channel and seeing the fallacy of the myth he is selling

My Oldman had built a macmansion as a Youngman bought land and thought he would the next lord Dalmere..the problem is that he had invested this in very remote rural kiambu and he spent his life regretting that decision. If that house had been built in muthaiga or anywhere in nairobi then it would have been very useful to him.

Don't use 1970s template in 2026. Those type of palatial homes need a person making over 3 million shillings a month to make any sense. If you want relocate build a modest house that won't take all your resource

A fool and its money will be separated

Nigerian-American Criticizes Parents for Building $200K Village ... Gen Nigerian has a different perspective

Exactly.
If you must - build small thing.

I don't think anyone should build or spend money on real estate unless they have excess money willing to lie idle on a piece of property. However, if you are old and have finished your business abroad, you can start building a retirement home slowly if you are 2-5 years away from retirement. Even with that, I think your city near your village is better than building in the actual village.
