We keep pushing.
I dont buy that Cynical attitude.
We build consensus
Just like we did for devolution and federalism
It is not in the interest of the ruling class. Our politicians took up this colonial tradition and have continued to misuse 60 years after independence. Unfortunately it is not going away soon.

Kenya Discussion / Mid term MOASS - Ruto at 38% without Raila & Murima
« Last post by RV Pundit on July 01, 2025, 09:32:04 AM »
For more read my tweets.

This is a status report of Ruto’s strength across Kenya, excluding known ODM-strong counties like Luo Nyanza, part of Western, Coast .

Ruto strong in Kalenjin+17 pastoral counties - having upstaged Raila.
Ruto still share votes with Raila in other areas like coast+western.
Ruto is dead amongst Kikuyus.
He might be doing 30% with Weak Kindiki in Mt kenya East.

Overally he needs 12% more votes - Raila can deliver that easily.
Kalonzo would bring in 10% - and Ruto has to work hard elsewhere.

This year, the farmers will produce the biggest yield in Kenya's history to only beat last year, which was record in itself. Refugees in Kakuma from Congo, Somalia, Sudan and all over the place are extremely happy with Kenyan Government. According to them, Kenya government is God send. Hunger, according to them as been reduced to zero because Govt food is in plenty!
Yes Ruto is nailing agriculture from sugarcane to coffee to maize name. Health getting fixed. Digital gov service tick. Corrupt scandals gone. The next 2yrs we will see road n related construction that vote winners

Kenya Airways has once again soared to the top, clinching the prestigious title of Africa’s Leading Airline at the 32nd Annual World Travel Awards held Saturday night in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The national carrier swept five major accolades, including Leading Airline – Business Class, Leading Inflight Magazine for its vibrant publication Msafiri, and Leading Airline Brand, cementing its dominance as the continent’s aviation trailblazer.

The airline’s CEO led the Kenya Airways delegation in receiving the awards, in a glittering ceremony that brought together leaders and innovators from across the global travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

In a celebratory post on X (formerly Twitter), Kenya Airways shared its appreciation:
“We are proud to be named Africa’s Leading Airline. Thank you for choosing to fly with the Pride of Africa.”

These honors follow a stellar commercial year for the airline in 2024, where it posted a Ksh 5.4 billion net profit, marking a 124% growth year-on-year. It also carried 5.23 million passengers and moved over 71,000 tonnes of cargo, confirming a robust recovery and transformation from post-pandemic struggles.

Kenya Airways’ performance has not gone unnoticed, with industry analysts lauding the airline for its commitment to excellence, safety, innovation, and enhanced customer experience.

AI crunches all the information and remove all the noise. I'm sure by next month, it will refine and remove SHA teething problems it addresses on the current version once feedback from SHA users loads into algorithms!

Echo chamber.
Post personal stories. I have many running around.

Just get to any public hospital line and hear the cries.
That was months ago when teething problems were there. Also, Cartels who have been stopped in their tracks from fraud are all over spewing flawed reports about the system. A sick patient who goes to hospital and his registered will give a clean bill of health. There are almost 25% of Kenyans who have not registered but want to access SHA unknowingly, so they are more likely to give negative feedback. Also, Goon z bloggers are many on social media doing negative campaigning to discredit the government services, so they write bogus stories that low information voters consume easily.

Understanding the Difference Between NHIF and Social Health ...
SHA (Social Health Authority) is designed to be better than NHIF (National Hospital Insurance Fund) by providing more comprehensive and universal healthcare coverage in Kenya. SHA aims to ensure that all Kenyans, regardless of income, can access primary healthcare services. While SHA builds on the foundation laid by NHIF, it seeks to address the limitations of the previous system by offering broader benefits and more inclusive access.
Here's a more detailed comparison:
SHA's Advantages over NHIF:
Universal Coverage:
SHA aims to provide healthcare access to all Kenyans, unlike NHIF which primarily served salaried and self-employed individuals.
Broader Benefits:
SHA is designed to offer a wider range of services, including those previously not covered by NHIF, potentially including more chronic disease management and specialized treatments.
Digital Integration:
SHA emphasizes digital systems for preauthorization and claims processing, potentially reducing fraud and improving efficiency.
Equity and Accessibility:
SHA aims to make healthcare more equitable and accessible to all Kenyans, regardless of their income or employment status.
Primary Care Access:
Unlike NHIF, SHA allows access to primary healthcare simply by registration.
Challenges and Concerns:
Implementation Issues:
There have been reports of glitches in the digital system and delayed payments, potentially hindering the smooth transition.
Public Trust:
Some perceive SHA as simply NHIF with a new name, and public confidence is still shaky.
Financial Sustainability:
Ensuring SHA's financial viability, particularly with universal coverage, will be crucial.
Private Sector Participation:
Concerns exist about private hospitals and pharmacies potentially refusing SHA patients due to payment issues.
SHA Registration in Kenya: What to Expect from SHIF - The ...
In essence, SHA is intended to be a more inclusive and comprehensive healthcare financing system in Kenya, building upon the strengths of NHIF while addressing its limitations.
