 8) Good business for the region! Plus all the goodies Muthamaki will leave for his good people of central Nyanza.
Hope you appreciate the goodwill! . I told you  we are not bad people.  8)
Malaki 3:16 "Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD listened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought on his name."

TNA should understand a simple fact: Human beings and especially the Kenyan lot are similar in every way. For years they have assumed the worst about Luos. Uhuru will come, his handlers will look around for "defectors" and parade them. They will get their handouts, some will be promised jobs, businesses and the Planent Jupiter! He will be happy and the conmen will be happy. He will leave and life will go on as usual. The next election will come and all those people will vote against GEMA.

Choose your town - Kakamega, Mombasa, etc. It's the same game over and over. In the past you would be burned by the IPK youth for taking cash at State House Mombasa. They had a more elaborate spying ring than the NIS. So bribes could be collected from Sajjad and Nassir. These days even former IPK operatives and MRC openly go to collect.

The bottom line, if Uhuru is intent on running a corrupt nation, there are millions ready to pander to him. He will succeed. The problem is that he is eroding principles and values of what a good nation should be without earning anything he can show for. It is cheaper to stop tribal appointments and show Kenyans that he is willing to work with all people. Napoleone discarded old prejudices against the poor in the army and instituted the principle of "Career is open to talent", regardless of your background. He was loved and his reforms  opened up the entire Europe and can still be felt today.

The much hyped President Uhuru trip to Port Florence may not happen this week after all. :)

The presidency is reported to have postponed the trip to next week as government shops for serious projects to launch after a report revealed the area has no significant national government activity going on. Uhuru is reported to be furious about the revelation.

The trip to Kisumu, where the President was also expected to chair a cabinet meeting at Kisumu State Lodge, is steeped in political undertones with the region remaining indifferent to it.
And Life Goes On..

That is tragic. Eti no significant national project going on. That is probably true everywhere in kenya except very few lucky areas. And UhuRuto are busy undermining devolution..the only silver lining in rural kenya development wise.

Which is why I don't agree the 400 Billion propaganda would work. The thing about money is that once you deny you have no money and then pull out 400 Billion, there is no way you can convince anybody you can't pull out a Trillion. I think OKOA and PM have a chance to use this admission to prove that TNA has money to hide.

I also don't know who is doing propaganda for them. They should stop talking about "Jubilee" like last year! When you mention Jubilee then you lock out RV. Another mistake is this constant barking at Ruto by RAO. He should either shut up and target TNA or risk building Uhuru by talking about him. Being mentioned by RAO over the last 4 weeks on the lost money thing revived WSR. That was a mistake. So OKOA/PM should simply say "Wametoa 400 bado 700 - Ongeza Moto",

Yes we have to keep demanding more and more..ultimately we want a situation where national gov retain 20% or 15%...for truly national gov services that cannot be devolved...military, foreign affairs and maybe national emergencies, national roads, airports, ports and highways..

Then rest..800B it would be seem..should be divided into 47 and given out for each county to develop, pay for it's nurse, doctors, teachers, county police, county roads, county water, county etc and etc...

In short...we have to go full federalism or MAJIMBO...eventually.

Yesterday i was hearing those Kass diaspora guys talking about GALANA project..and wondering how that will benefit them [heck it will harm RV farmers]..you have national gov...spending maybe 100B on Galana 1M acre....who will it benefit? Maybe the people around Galana, maybe brokers, maybe landlords....or well maybe the entire nation if they bring down cost of maize or sugar...

But it would have made sense for each county to be given 2B..to start their own small irrigation schemes.

Galana or any other regionally based project should be developed under the aegis of the local county. They can secure loans and other forms of credit making the county government liable with the asset forming the collateral. Income from such an investment should go directly to the county and shall not be shared with others - at least for a few decades

Precisely. National Gov should concentrated on truly national projects. I can only think about inter-county roads and railway..sort of the us's interstate. Whatever the national gov does know..it goes to favour someone and disadvantage another..if national gov is build 5B chemusus dam in Koitabek baringo...that ultimately benefit Baringo people...that is not going to be fair to people of mandera.

The solution is simple...devolve...so you have fairness all over.  Just leave the gov maintain major roads, railways, ports and such issues that are impossible to devolve.

Galana or any other regionally based project should be developed under the aegis of the local county. They can secure loans and other forms of credit making the county government liable with the asset forming the collateral. Tragic indeed..see what the so-called eye sore "kisumu state lodge" looks like..he saw this as proposed cabinet meeting site and responded there's no way he can be caught sitting in that rugged pos... :(

UhuRuto should change that at least. That is serious indictment of national gov neglect. Kibaki revived Sagana lodge. Last time i saw Kitale state lodge it had been ripped apart and land stolen. Only Nairobi,Nakuru, Mombasa and Sagana ..and maybe Kakamega state lodges are worth being referred as so.

But do you we really need all those lodges? County commissioner should stay in those lodges...and leave the guest house for Uhuru whenever he checks in.
