Now empathy has become hatred. Let me give you a small history . Back in 1992 when Raila was back from exile in Norway. He came to Mombasa together with His fathers faction , by then it was clear that Odingas Ford and Matibas Ford were far apart. Even though all.posters were Old is Gold , when Raila stood to speak he was received with cheers simply because of his association with I.P.Ks Balala. We were inclined to believe these were our liberators. FORD Kenya went and won all Mombasa MP seats with exception of Changamwe which Kiliku under DP won due to the Kamba diaspora  and Mvita which Shariff Nasir rigged when all the other contestors went for the evening prayer.
Meanwhile in Nairobi Raila scopped the Kibera seat with alot of FORD Asili supporters voting for him simply because he was in detention with Matiba and Rubia. After his election Matiba was on record saying its fine Raila winning.
Where the rain started beating Raila was in 1999 when he decided to join hands with Moi , then 2002 decided to join Kibaki only for him to backstab Kibaki. In 2007 he lead a civil war only to be rewarded with a P.M post.

When I look at this photo , I go back to my childhood, We believed in Balala , i still have those childhood memories of this tough guy Raila who had been detained and never sulked .The Matibas, Shikukus , Orengos, Muites,Aneko, Masinde Muliro , Bawazir e.t.c
I see a frail guy, apart from Muite and Orengo , majority are gone. I realize that he just had a surgery and Covid all in one years time.
 Is he strong enough to roll out a cut throat campaign in 2002. A younger Kibaki couldnt manage in 2002 , it took Railaa energy to campaign for him.
Who will do it for Raila in 2022 ?  20 years later.
Raila should apologize for his sins in 1999, 2003 and 2007, time has come and he will be fine, mentor someone and please not Junet or Babu Owino. Even the 30 year daughter is better. Its time to pass the baton.

Boss, you're unapologetic gema, but pray, how did Raila betray Kibaki in 2003? Kibaki signed MOU and betrayed Raila - entire LDP wing including Kalonzo. I am sure in years to come you'll blame Ruto for Uhuru betrayal.

Yes I can understand 2007 Anti-Kikuyu campaign as Raila mistake but 2003 I won't blame him.

Coming to 2002 , I was Uhuru damu. I always looked at Kibaki as a traitor for Matibas Loss in 1992,  We were the ones warning people Raila was supporting Kibaki so that he can wrestle power from him once they get power and it came to pass.

You really have made crazy political decision. Matiba was mentally unfit to be president and god really saved kenyan.  Jaramogi was old and frail - but Matiba brain stroke had reduced him to a vegetable. Anyway I grew up supporting kibaki coz my father was kibaki man.

1999 - Ruto was first time MP - KANU rebel. I didn't really take much notice of him until 2001 - when he was ass minister and had overtaken JJ kamotho as chief KANU propagandist. He was for most part a lackey of Gideon and Uhuru. Gideon had discovered with Philip that Biwott and Kulei were making money behind Moi's back - and registering the wealth under their names. They pushed Biwwot out with his Saitoti gang. Gideon might not be good in retail politics - but in power player and business - he is lethal.

As for Raila - there is no doubt that after magic tragic blunder - he helped Kibaki win in 2002 - and Kibaki had MOU with LDP that he should have honoured. Kibaki biggest unforgivable plunder was to betray national narc revolution by becoming GEMA president. It was huge betrayal that would culminate in near civil war of 2007.

Kenya politician or developing world politician are in it to grow economically.  They don't steal - they die or kill you. Ruto is very corrupt. Uhuru is very corrupt. Raila is very corrupt.

We need to be honest as political pundits. ONLY A MORON WILL COME AND SAY RAILA IS CLEAN. Clean billionaire without any known innovation or invention - whose wealth grow with his tenure in gov.

To manage another ambitious politician - the easiest is to share power - allow them to steal and all that pertains to political power. You hog all power - they fight you.

As Citizen - knowing all of them are corrupt - you cannot use that as basis to judge them - you use development or maendeleo instead - and that is what kenyans do. What have you done for us. Everyone knows they have taken care of themselves first.
