Residents Ignore Governor James Nyoro's BBI Roadshow
« on: February 24, 2021, 05:33:48 PM »
https://www.kenyans.co.ke/news/62586-residents-ignore-governor-james-nyoros-bbi-roadshow-video

video has been making rounds on social media where Kiambu Governor James Nyoro is seen making a victory lap in the county following the passing of the BBI bill in the assembly.

Unlike other political tours which attract locals, Kiambu residents seemed unmoved, going about their daily activities.

As his convoy snaked through the town, the governor who had rallied Members of the County Assembly to pass the BBI bill, waved at the unresponsive residents.

The video caught the attention of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), a party allied to Deputy President William Ruto, which claimed that the bill had been passed due to corruption.

"When Hon Kangata said MCA's are not Wanjiku's on the ground, some laughed at him out. Now, this is Gov. Nyoro doing "thankyou" lap in Kiambu.

"Were it not for corruption, this bill would not have passed. Nevertheless, let's wait for the lord of corruption to bribe wananchi as well," reads a statement on the UDA Twitter page.

BBI is politician show. Kenyans are not interested in it. Opinion polls have shown it support is 20%. Let see if it will change with MCA and MPs passing a self-serving document.

Njui Ncheke thinks he has hit a jackpot when he talks of a list of fragile states ... those of us who were on Mashada dot com before moving to choo dot com every year discussed how the Moody's downgraded Kenya. He is seeing it now for the first time. Eish! Isiolo is a difficult place to live. Year after year Kenya has been downgraded and it is still here.
After Raila was rigged out in 2013, he said the same thing (before leaving with CORD principals for holiday in SA), namely "he felt sorry for this country, Kenyans would be the biggest losers under Uhuruto" and so it has come to pass, wananchi lose yes, Kenya should be where Korea, Singapore are but "breakup", "doomed" no, a Country is resilient. This is what late Biwott a serial looter said (may he rot & burn in Jahanam!) Quote unquote, Kenya is to big to collapse. So glad he himself collapsed and left us alone. Look my point is simple - the first Eurobond, it never reached our shores, rumor has it, money meant for 47m Kenyans was shared by two fellas - Kenyans taxpayers are repaying a loan they never saw and you guys have the uninformed nerve to say Kenya is "doomed"???? Are you still listening? Kenya is today borrowing to pay for recurrent expenditure - I hope I am posting English you understand. Kenya's 'culture of impunity'
In Kenya, for instance, the US embassy in Nairobi has actively supported youth groups to strengthen democracy and to forestall a return of the post-election violence that killed 1,200 people and displaced 300,000 others following the disputed elections of Dec. 27, 2007. The US government also supported efforts by Kenya’s Parliament to write a new Constitution, which would change the winner-takes-all culture of Kenyan politics and reduce the likelihood of future post-election violence.

Far from supporting this US reform agenda, top Kenyan officials actually saw it as a threat, if not to the state, then certainly to their own “vested interests,” says a US embassy cable dated Jan. 12, 2010.

“Bringing about implementation of the reform agenda poses a large challenge because doing so threatens the culture of impunity and the entrenched political class that has existed in Kenya since independence. Most of the political and economic elite (to greater and lesser extents) compose the vested interests that benefit from and support impunity and the lack of accountability with respect to governance, state resources, and the rule of law. This includes President Kibaki and Prime Minister Odinga, who signed the coalition agreement, as well as most of the members of the Cabinet and leaders of the political parties.”

You miss the big picture when you get too emotional. Do you realize that almost all the counties ignored the Hustler?

He says that "RV and Mlima are singing same song"..... I am scratching my head as to what possibly that song goes like because it can't possibly be having a stanza like this one:
"Tis was 29 Yes and 1 No,
Tis was 29 Yes and 1 No,
Then it was 39 Yes and 1 No,
RV and Mlima why are you ignoring the Hustler?
"

MCAs you mean . Well the ground is whole ball game all together . Take for example Msambweni an ODM "stronghold" Majority of the elected politicians campaigned for ODM candidate but the ground chose another person

So MCAs are up in the air like birds? MCAs are more ground than any Wily arap Barrow can imagine. RAO, Uhunye, Man Giddy, MaDVD, Weta, Ngilu and Kalonzo have met at State House to congratulate MCAs. Those same MCAs will be working the ground like crazy once campaigns begin. Hustler miscalculated big time.

I do not know who will be reelected or not. Regardless who comes in, MCAs are not going to fight the hand that has fed them. There's a way in which Kirgit gets it. BBI is not the issue with Kenya now, although it will cool tempers for a while. Things are bigger than they appear. time will tell.

Now if you dont know who is going to be reelected or not where as you know that  elections are the show of popularity then why are you chest thumping that they control the ground .
You correctly say BBI wont solve Kenyan issues , Isnt this anti BBI people are talking about . Its a well known fact BBI emanated from the handshake whose selling point was it was the final solution to Kenyan Post elections " Violence "  We mentioned violence comes from none acceptance of results which is a synonym to Raila well known as "Railas Doctrine" Even in 2022 he will still refuse to accept the results and there will be protests here and there and police force will be used to resolve the protests . So the true final solution is Raila coming out from the scene .

You think Kenyans have forgotten that Uhuruto was also a handshake? Why did Ruto accept a handshake then but now when others have done the same thing on a bigger scale he is sulking like a scorned wife? BBI wont solve Kenya's problems but that does not mean anti-BBI Wily arap Barrow is the solution either. In fact, the verdict by counties shows the Wily arap barrow roadshow was just that. Much ado about nothing. Right now, RAO is sitting pretty with all his cards aligned. Almost all counties are backing his plans. Parliament is foregone conclusion. Referendum will pass before the whistle is blown. Barrow on the other hand has nothing to show but sulk.

Handshake you say  ? I would say these are the KANU youth who worked together from 2001 to October 2007, Re-united together  Mar 2008   Up until now. Which verdict by counties , These are bribed outgoing MCAs .
So the counties are also supporting his presidential bid ? Why then are they telling Kenyans to delink BBI from Raila ?
