The names included a long-serving economist at the ministry of finance, Henry Rotich. Rotich, who was educated at Harvard Universitsy, worked alongside President Kenyatta while he was finance minister.

There are hopes that Rotich will be the one to implement the double digit growth that Kenyatta promised Kenyans in his first speech to parliament as president.

"He has been involved in formulating macro-economic policies to ensure an affordable public spending aimed at achieving the government's development priorities," Kenyatta said.

@Kichwa, hasn't always predicted the future right, but on this one he is spot-on. Even if this daktari (who had his thesis written for him) does not get it, his mishandling of the part of the "50-50"  handed to him to decide, was politically myscopic and shortsighted to say the least given this land has 43 tribes. Ouru on this one fared better... shared out his slots to somalis and other tribes, while this jesus ( according to @RVHH) thought only about his kales - yes listen to this - 100%. Weuh! And he wants to lead ALL Kenyans... atajua power rests with the voter aka The People and not just the kalenjin voter. At that time in 2013, we just watched and kept quiet but didn't forget the arrogance - this govt is 50-50. Eish! Now we will speak to him at the ballot, referendum and General elections.

Kenyans will only lose if Ruto were to somehow became president. I am glad all his paths to the coveted presidency are being blocked .  What's killing Ruto is his two tribe strategy which he embraced in 2013 and the two tribe government that he formed thereafter.  Ouru is running away from that two tribe strategy and BBI is codifying that the multi tribe approach to governance.  Ruto is stuck (boxed in) in that two tribe strategy and cannot get out of it. You can pork him with a knife.

The MCA obviously got good deal in BBI - but Kenyans are biggest losers. Kenyans will shoulder 600Mps, the erosion of seperation of power in parliament and emasculated judiciary. This BBI is return to imperial PORK.

MCA will have ward fund, can become county executives and the finding for counties will increase.

Obviously Ruto as incoming PORK knows just how bad that is.

It baseless propaganda. Ruto hired two kalenjin - Chirchir and Felix - Rotich was hired by Uhuru - coz they work together in finance - Phylis was seconded by Gideon Moi.

Sadly, Ruto thought he could continue with the two tribe strategy by holding onto kikuyu without Ouru. The kikuyu leaders made him believe he could when he doled out money and in desperation he believed their lies.  Yesterday, his pipe dream of taking the kikuyu away from Ouru ended with a route.  The only thing left for him now is to scavenge for the left overs politician and form a coalition  for a life in the opposition and let things cool off a little bit.  Live to fight another day is his best strategy.  However, Knowing Ruto, out of pride, he will be impatient, myopic and probably do something stupid instead.

Sometimes its always good to distinguish between wishful thinking and facts . Most of Raila supporters hope Mt Kenya will abandon Ruto so that Raila gets a pass to state house - This is not happening the hatred of Raila will end when he either retires politically or otherwise .  Secondly in Railas pursuit to divide Mt Kenya his biggest following composed of anti Gema abandoned him with the effects being shown in Msambweni .

Most people outside Luo Nyanza are capable of seperating issues. BBI has no clause that make Raila pork. I mean in 2010 you went on the same wavelength - and come 2013 - you were in the opposition.

BBI is not Raila. Anti-BBI is not Ruto.
