I know western like back of my hand. I use to struggle in MOAS because I didn't quite know it. But now I know everywhere in Western and the issues. Ruto did well in 2017 under Jubilee - where Jubilee won I think 5 mp seats - and the Ruto Mps are no push over - Didmus, Mabonga, Major Waluke, and name it. ODM got zero. Ford-K struggled with two mps - Wamunyinyi and Eseli.
The next battle for 3 Bukusu men - Weta, Lusaka and Wangamati is the governorship - but maybe Weta will fight it out nationally with Mukhisa.
End of day - Ruto will carry about half of Bukusu - and rest will be with Weta/Mukhisa - Raila is dead there. Anyway we have by election to see - I see Weta has brought all the small boys to fight Ruto (Ruto that you say is unpopular).
That is Ruto strategy - his main competitor remain Raila - so as long as Raila is not getting - Ruto is winning.
So if Western unity/Mukhisa/MaDVD flies - they are going to eat Raila's - not Ruto's lunch.
Next in Bungoma is Tachonis of Webuye. Kakamega Ruto stronghold is definitely the Wangas - and Matungu will be good test.
And yet you're hanging on Uhuru and Raila; thinking small stint in Geneva will make Mukhisa a giant - when he left a rejected leader.
Bukusu rejected Mukhisa in 2013 - that is 7yrs ago?
Wetangula is even more convincing.
But most Bukusu are in team Ruto because they can see the games the small boys are playing cannot go beyond Chwele market...or at best Kanduyi stadium.
Waah @Pundit! I have to take my hat off to you for knowing the names of some of our markets. I hardly know of any townships in Kale land that ate not on the Eldoret or Kabsabet highways. I see your Kenyan Geography acumen ni sawa, though as @Pragmatic has pointed out, it looks you haven't been to ground in Western for a number of years. Not long ago, before WSR hoped onto that hustler vs dynasty nonsense, I happened to be in town when Ruto was heckled and his convoy stoned by youths when he was passing the Bungoma bus-park. Your man had to speed away to address his rally somewhere else, perhaps it was chwele market he went to. Bungoma city - no go area for Luto, take that to the bank. Bungoma the county centre is a mirror of what the rest of the county thinks - politically.
