Uhuru does not understand that Mt Kenyas problem is just Raila -period . He instulted My Kenyans in the past calling them shenzi , the other day he told them they should forget about leadership in Kenya . You cant abandon people who voted for you thrice in 8 years and come the last year without any benefits  telling them their solution is BBI . Well if Uhuru is so desperate to be loved by the other regions and pas BBI , it can also happen by Mt Kenya abstaining in the referendum , their in Uhuru gets his BBI while Mt Kenya have their say as they wait for 2022 and we see if Kenyans will respect or think Uhuru is Mt Kenyas Kingpin the way he wants people to think.
Uhuru can take this to the bank , Mt Kenya wont support any place Raila is in - Same as happened with Moi refer to 1992 , 1997 elections and the one Uhuru was supported by MOI 2002 elections

RVP, I am still very confused and conflicted about all this BBI, Ruto campaign, MtK. Is there a reason why the state would be this opposed to Ruto??? I do not like betrayal. Whatever happened btn Ruto and Uhuru...Uhuru threw Ruto under the bus. And listening to Murathe...something about him that looks like mafia. Then there is Raila history. Whatever he touches in our political space, it becomes a mess. Things started going south after the handshake.

What is state  

We need to be honest as political analyst divorced from the arena.

Uhuru fell out with Ruto for nothing more than corruption envy. Ruto outstole him.It's like thieves go to rob the bank - everyone is happy with their share of the loot - except two years down the line - they find out while everyone walked away with enough money to last - a lifetime - someone else walked away with even more. People in kenya go to gov principally to make money.

The second reason is like how Saitoti fell out with Moi. Whistle/romour campaign - by likes of Ruto - and curated intelligence - eventually convinced Moi - that Saitoti and Biwott were upto no good. 

Ruto had meticously planned 2022 - and worked to ensure key Mt kenya leaders who could become a problem - were kicked out - and when Tuju-Murathe failed to deliver - Ruto told Uhuru - he'd go to Pangani and sort the mess - and results was obvious - apart from Wairia and Wambora - basically all governors, nearly all senators, Mps - lost Jubilee ticket.

Their fightback is what we are seeing now. The bitter fellows who lost in 2017 blame Ruto - and warmed their way to Uhuru - and hence this big chasm- they are people that work hard to ensure Uhuru-Ruto fallout happened.

But Ruto is very experience in these games - and has managed to deal with Uhuru - basically as a "Raia".

This one will be epic - but Uhuru will sue for peace - because otherwise he will be overseeing Kenya burning down. Ruto is like boxer Ali - you cannot hit him however hard you try - he floats like a butteryfly and stick like bee!

Now big problem is Raila. Raila as desperate as he is - knows he won't sell in GEMA. Uhuru on the rope knows he cannot take Raila to GEMA.

So what will happen in the next few months. Uhuru will try to work with 3rd way alliance - the likes of Kalonzo/maDVD/Gideon/matiangi - otherwise the moment he seen with Raila in GEMA land - all the effort goes to waste.

There is no guessing - can Uhuru deal with Raila and Ruto - he cannot. Raila is now desperately trying to go back to NASA - and re-establish himself as the People President. He is going to attack Uhuru. Uhuru has to distance himself from Raila.

But Uhuru still has the hidden card - he has yet to pronounced his candidate - so people will go soft on him - hoping one of them will be the man.
