They say it was an elimination mission.  While I agree wealth in the midst of poverty can be explosive, crimes of this magnitude are rarely due to petty reasons.  There is likely a more serious reason.

What "serious" reason is this that can be used to massacre a family?

Its all about land and jealously those are the main ingredients I stayed there for some months my host was always strapped he always became jittery whenever dark set and we were far from his home. Sometimes we took police escorts, one time I went to the local pub made a mistake of asking for a tusker while others were enjoying senator keg the looks I received plus I spoke only in Swahili to the bar tenders, one waitress whispered me to leave early,I complied next day returned and she told me most there were crooks and they were salivating at prospect of getting money from me.

A shady business deal gone awry for example.

Seems like a hit. Kiambu especially lower part is crowded so crime is high

The problem in Kikuyulands is your own relatives are most likely to order hits on you, kikuyus have an immense jealousy towards fellow family members and competition is cut throat thats why you will here many disputes for control of companies like tuskys among others, they are willing to order a hit on their brother and sister if something goes wrong. Njamba and fnb can't come back to kenya because of this, very worrying. My time in Kiambu I was really surprised by this. People coming from majuu used to live in hotels in Nairobi and they have built huge houses that stay vacant.

Very sad the son is now considered a suspect. Nothing new for Kikuyus unfortunately this is where they have reached and we as their kin really pity them. Njamba and fnb warning don't come to Kenya because your relatives are waiting for you, stay and slave in the west forever in Kenya you will know no peace.

Njamba parents already left ushago to nairobi due to insecurity. I think what they need is scorth earth policy to kill all the thugs mercilessly. Anyway it's problem of income inequality breeding jealousy and hatred. That is why hustler movement is selling.

Look like a mental issue. That explain the 34 stabs.
https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2021-01-09-son-arrested-in-probe-on-kiambu-murder-mystery-of-five-family-members/
Its property induced mental Issue, the son possibly was removed from the family inheritance calculation or got a raw deal in all money is at the centre of this murder most foul.
njamba and fnb tell me how after growing up with your siblings for decades you can murder them in cold blood?this is a unique trait of Muranga and Kiambu Kikuyu. Nyeri Kikuyu are however different and maintain close familiy ties like Merus do and lack that murderous sibling rivalry.

You can't carry out scorch earth policy there because 60% of population will suffer. The problem really is similar to RV how kikuyus come grab and dominate the poorer people they exercised this also in their homelands and outcome is usually family murders and in RV tribal crashes. Nyeri Kikuyu are not that affected but muranga and Kiambu are beyond redemption best thing is just to immigrate and leave those toxic rural areas never to return like njamba and fnb.

Njuri stop trying too hard. I love Merus but they are not Kikuyus and it will take a while for them to get there. Majority of central province is completely safe, my wife just got back like three weeks ago. This murders happen because of some shady deal or greed from family members. I am like most of my extended family on both sides are doing very well. All my land and other holdings are managed by my brothers effectively, no jealousy at all. On my wife’s side, their father planned his estate very well before his demise, no one is complaining. I do not feel unsafe at all in Kenya but like everywhere else in the world including developed countries, I have to use common sense and good judgment, there is evil everywhere.

:) Poor okuyu. This looks like drugs - the suspect is a college kid. 8) The occult angle is bizarre as Kikuyu are not known for that. Could be mental. By 2013 the kid was how old - 16? that when he reported the mom for witchcraft.

Anyway the more I see here is anyi-Kikuyu bigotry disguised as debate. Luo for instance have similar stories of empty upcountry mansions due to witchcraft and curses from envious relatives. Kamba the same. Kisii and Mijikenda are constantly in the news for witch-hunting... literally Salem horrors playing out in the 21st century. Meru are still FGM'ing their girls en masse along with many others. Plain old human troubles.

Njuri's beef with Kikuyu is similar to old Omollo's: he deems them unfairly lucky and this seems to be sufficient proof of their summary delinquency. While I'm not fully sold on the entrepreneurial and other merits of the Kikuyu (I view them as political scavengers), they do just fine for themselves and are arguably the most socioeconomically vibrant tribe in Kenya.

"Luo is a lifestyle, Kikuyu is an enterprise"

Njuri take a deep breath. Meru will remain a miscellaneous Kikuyu appendage for a long time politically speaking. This is a good thing due to the big goodies your Kiraitus and others extract in return. It must be great to be Meru.

22yr old. I don't think it's property. It mental or drugs. Hard drugs is now a serious problem in Kenya - it no longer just a transit - but now drug dealers are targetting rich kenyans.

Obviously Merus are not Kikuyu what in your head would you try to think even that. Eti we wil take time to get where you are? Where are you? For the records we will never indeed get there, killing your father mother sister brothers cousin nephews etc all in name of money is totally against our culture. So thats the only truth you have that we won't get there.
Fnb invest wisely and slave in the west for the rest of your life. There is NO future for you in Kenya especially central and you know, truth is bitter but unfortunately I can't massage your ego.

What now you are the Kikuyu keeper more kikuyu than Kikuyu themselves?  :D Robina am just stating the truth I don't see you come preach differently when they say merus are primitive and conservative which is true by the way and other negative stuff. But because gatheca has actually theca babas brain you will jump straight into lake Victoria with no second thoughts.
Merus are a very proud people of their land and culture weare very content by the way we do appreciate our Kikuyu cousins for majorly forming a buffer for us from hostile kabilas. What we are always against Kikuyu is this tabias that are well documented that are totally immoral and we live very well, for them again Merus are primitive and to Us kikuyu are greedy and immoral. Its healthy there is no problem we all accepted and moved on.

You are right I strongly suspect your anti-Kikuyu tantrums are Gatheca-inspired. Kikuyu are imperfect but not nearly as barbaric as say FGM-obsessed Meru and Somali. Or the witch-hunting Gusii (how sad.. those weak old "witches" are obviously innocent). That said your Meru pride is off the charts and irrational - Kindiki is not going to be (ndepyute) president soon. No chance. Even mzito knows better - it is a Kikuyu or Luhya or even Kamba. Meru you are lower than Gusii level numerically - and Big Brother Gatheca represents your interests. Kiraitu and Njuki have signed over your rights 2022-32 already... PK is the new man. Deal with that.

But you are good people. Pundit is a more legit hater  - maybe not in Omollo league but a hater nevertheless - he is very bitter about Uhuru betrayal. He actually called him a gentleman and showered him with praises for 5 years. After Kibaki, Pundit had written off Gema as hopeless traitors who noone would ever trust. Well except Gentleman Uhuru who was cut from a superior gene :) In Jubilee 1 he claimed noone would ever again deal with Gema if they betrayed Ruto. Hehe - strangely there is a long queue of suitors - including Ruto himself! This makes Pundit very angry.

Pajero is the certified Gema hater - took over from the senile Omollo. But Pajero's is based on childhood stories and background prejudice than politics. That's genuine hate I tell you - a Kikuyu can run to safety - unlike Pundit & Ruto's hot & cold chameleon variety as they knife you in the back.

Kikuyu and Gema are better off with Luo than Kalenjin. Uhuru and the wazee have ruled. Learn to respect Big Brother or you may end up like this Kiambu kajamaa who massacred his folks.
