You underrate GEMA... but empirical evidence show they are very organized in boardroom politics. Non-GEMA beat them in streets but scheming and backstabbing they wear the crown. During NARA sagana Miguna told us how they made Raila wail like a kid  :) - hehe - and Ranneberger wrote cables about Uhuru cold, calculating, scheming nature according to Wikileaks. So right now- while you don't see a GEMA governor in horizon - that is moot because Badi is Uhuru boy. So they already have it - not if or buts.

What next? There will be long court battles as Sonko appeals, then Meru lady already nominated by Sonko re-appears, maybe Igathe shows up claiming to be still DG. Might be a while before a by-election is called.

Meantime- if county speaker acts, expect remaining functions to be transferred to NMS. Potentially court battles could drag to 2022 - maybe Sonko remains as lameduck governor - MCAs supermajority can pass budget and strip him naked. Either way I see Uhuru and GEMA as using Somali guy as new front to continue controlling the city. Badi with smooth sailing will get very popular as people sneer at the feuding politicians. Badi is the fresh, apolitical outsider.

Respect GEMA... they have not held power merely by happenstance. Way you praise Ruto, Moi and Kalenjin - GEMA are twice as good. Uhuru is running Nairobi like a marionette - Ruto once tried to hawk Eugene and flopped. 2 years ago you were mocking CS Macharia as exemplary incompetent GEMA - how is it looking now? The city is shining and you have lite-rail to airport.

Sonko troubles indeed start and ends with GEMA feel entitled to Nairobi governorship on account of their numbers and economic muscle. The rest are details. But I don't see a GEMA governor soon because GEMA have become insular - and yet they will max out at 30%.

Sonko was overrated and he started believing he is also presidential material. He was too busy stealing public money and displaying it to the public. You do not steal and start abusing the system. It got him by the balls and if Uhuru is serious he can land this fwllow where he belongs in Shimo La Tewa. After signing off his powers to NMS, Sonko was a lame duck and he should have accepted his fate. He is today the only governor without portfolio. :D :D :D

With a mile-long rapsheet - drugs and corruption - Sonko either melt away silently or end up in double tragedy. For a young, early-success hustler role-model he has turned out to be quite the anticlimax. At least Joho seems to know which side his bread is buttered. Anyway I see the "abstaining" Sakaja as prepping for a hard run for it. Sakaja strikes one as a heartless, backstabbing hypocrite. Interesting days.

With your reports of public news you are yet to teach me anything. I accept when am wrong - like we have done in Diani. This impeachment is not a "victory in disguise" but another hustler tragedy. Shakespearean variety. Some of us saw these Sonko-Waititu disasters all the way in 2017: I was disturbed by the rise of "hustlers" as Pundit cheered them - see how great they are now.

Sonko tried to outfox Uhuru & GEMA - instead his ass has been handed to him all the way. I know you are still drunk with small Diani win  :) - but the jury is still out on the hustler in chief.

Robina , first this is a phyrric victory, tomorrow its highly possible that the courts will overturn the impeachment further if they go the election route still sonko might win.
Secondly you talk of GEMA out of the so called 11 GEMA counties woth exception of Nairobi who abstained 5 voted for Sonko , Laikipia, Nakuru, Lamu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi.
Now going to elections Gema in Nairobi would vote anti Raila and now by extension anti Uhuru. There is a reason Jubilee lost ward elections to Ruto allies in Muranga and Naivasha. In Kahawa wendani they used Kibra tactics to have Ochieng go through.
And please stop equating Grma to Uhuru .Even Ngunjiri Wambugu said yes there is something wrong in Jubilee  and admitted Jubilee has lost touch with the ground. But for you your ground is senate and national assembly..
Wake up Robina when you realise what is happening on ground you will appreaciate what I have been preaching you since time memorial.

If there is a by election, how will Sonko win ? You mean you can be impeached for stealing and be on the next ballot? Sonko is done. He makes a move and he will end up in jail or dead. Free advice to Sonko, go away quietly.

Ive been evaluating Kenyatta the last couple of days , I ve seen the people he has put in the office of the president ,apart from Gecaga and Kinyua the rest the Waitas, Mbugua, Muturi, Kariuki etc there is a big minus you can see where the problem is.

Now come to his political advisors Murathe and Tuju who are running the Jubilee party he seems only to be listening to them where party matters are concerned and you have the biggest Raila fans their intention seems to be giving Raila Jubilee for posterity.
Then you go back to history you realize that Uhuru single handedly killed K.A.N.U  and sadly th same way he is killing Jubilee . There will be a massive walkout as you know Jubilee already lost in ward elections in Muranga and Naivasha and pro Ruto people won.

Again back to history TNA as a party was not functional he had left the party running to Sakaja and Oloo , no party elections no nothing, thats how  he mismanages parties.

One thing he is really lucky of is Ruto will become the next president  and thus wont go after the looting he , his family and friends have done. If the hustler nation was under a roguw person like Miguna  post presidency would be a nightmare for him. Ruto adores Uhuru ,its evident apart from politics they are personal friends.

Wow, where does one start with rebutting you. We would need to agree on basics- like a win is a win, a loss is a loss. NUMBERS. E.g ODM lost Msambweni, hustler won. See? - no ifs or buts. "Win by losing" is new version of spin by Pundit.

Now impeachment: if Sonko survived the floor you would be dancing here and asking Robina to learn the lesson. But he LOST - donge? Spin works where there is vague argument not raw numbers. I cannot spin Diani - you cannot spin impeachment. Sonko by small chance can be saved by court - but he is been done for a while now. He is out on bail, suspended, hostile assembly, name it. We are merely discussing the fate of his lameduck office- NMS already ate his lunch.

What - hustler candidates won in Naivasha and Kahawa?  :o Your duplicity is amazing. No, there were no such candidates- please share the threads here. This is Bondo nonsense where winners become hustler after the fact yet they had Raila portraits during campaigns. Or Wiper guy in Embakasi is somehow a hustler win :) Ai yawa, hio hatuelewi.

Uhuru destroys parties... really? How many parties has Uhuru been in? Kanu, TNA, Jubilee. How about Ruto? Raila? Oh, who dumped Kanu first - Uhuru or Ruto? And whose idea was it to dissolve TNA and URP into the Jubilee fat elephant? Wait- are you sure there was democracy in URP?? How did they handle poor Isaac :) - anyone asked his opinion about dissolution?

Actually Sonko got 6 more years because everyone saw Uhuru machination. Just hold another election in Nairobi so you can understand just how angry kenyans are on Uhuru, Raila and BBI.

People elected Sonko knowing his weakness. And it was not a fluke. They first elected Sonko as Senator...with highest votes...then next governor. Before that Mp.

Just like they elected Uhuru knowing he was a Mungiki Leader charged with war crimes. Sonko is local criminal in comparison.

Ruto just got a footing in Nairobi on his own. Naturally he would have needed GEMA. Now he doesnt. He just need to re-tool with Sonko and take over the Nairobi hustler movement.

By mid 2021 - Handshake crew will understand - if they didn't understand from by election - just how unpopular they are.

Ohoo please idiot. Nearly 0.5M out of 5M kikuyus then were displaced just 5yrs into Kibaki regime. That is one in every 10 kikuyu property looted, burnt, and suffered many losses. Thanks to Kibaki incompetence and lack of leadership.Uhuru was suppose to redeem that - and he did great in 5yrs of Jubilee - but now - he is undoing everything - and starting to look at politically incompetent as Kibaki.

Now let see how handshake crew will move here...Sakaja wants to be backed...Waweru wants in..Kidero might come for more beating or who will ODM fill?

None of those have the magic and authenticity sonko draws from Nairobi poor.

It will end in tears.

Hehe - If you want to look for the unprincipled, no-holds-barred, bareknuckles anything-to-win - look at Raila or closer home at your precious Ruto. Kenyatta beats them in looting but not in raw hunger for power. I mean the man had been conviced to step down for Mdvd. While Ruto would trade his kids for president. Uhuru is a happy-go-luck silver platter kid: he inherited Kanu from Nyayo and was de facto consensual chairman beating Biwott by a mile. Then Mt Kenya from Kibaki. Easy-peasy. But you'd be hard pressed to finger a fair win by Ruto - he cheated Saina, Chesire in Eldoret; Mutula Kilonzo Snr for Kanu SG; brazen Mau and ICC propaganda to demonize Raila in Kalenjin; deployed mlolongo smokescreen to kidnap Jubilee and Mt Kenya.

But he is your hero and Uhuru is the problem... Akipenda, chongo huita kengeza"

You gotta admit there is a FINESSE in the Kibaki or Uhuru easing into power. I mean Moi had to choke in their shit to get in - but Uhuru and Kibaki it almost seamless. Compare Raila or Ruto "genius", energy, diligence, hardwork, yaawwn - they still falling over themselves to curry Uhuru favor. It disingenuous to pretend GEMA are not smooth operators. Literally few hours ago - it was non-GEMA tearing each other in Sonko impeachment - fighting GEMA battles. Give credit where it's due. I don't like it either but it is what it is.

Now BBI windfall all indicators are Ruto won't oppose. It "untenable" to oppose due to GEMA centrality in 2022 maneno - according to Sudi.

The double standards. Ruto "formed" UDM with Kirwa and young KANU MPs who wanted to reform OLD KANU in 1998 - a year after being elected into parliament. Moi eventually tapped him to gov (old imperial constitution you want to bring) as Ass Minister and eventually got into Kitchen Cabinet. He stayed in KANU until he went to ODM. And went relationship went sour..he tried to get UDM back from caretake late Gen Koech..and that didn't happen..he formed URP that went into Jubilee Coalition..later collapsed to Jubilee.

What is democracy to you. That people should not compete and beat or even crush their opponents.

What finesses when GEMA has almost 30% of the vote and just need 20% of the vote nationally - and the same is true in Nairobi - and yet because of their insularity - none of them stand a chance to win in Nairobi. Moi came from Tugen - very small sub-tribe. BBC when I started to listen to it in 1990s use to say ' Kabila ndogo la Moi'.

And when Kibaki won - in just 5yrs - Kikuyus were being hunted like stray dogs all over kenya. It took international mediation to save kenya.

That is NOT leadership. That is NOT winning.

What will you say when 10% of Tutsi sit on 90 of Hutu for 500yrs. or Tigrays running Ethiopia for 30yrs yet they are what 5-10% of the population. That is BRILLIANCE. Show me one brilliant leader in GEMA :) :) - very insular group of lazy idiots mostly - that has done great injustice on their own people.

GEMA are largest tribal grouping - by default they are suppose to win - Just make friends with one or two tribes.

You gotta admit there is a FINESSE in the Kibaki or Uhuru easing into power. I mean Moi had to choke in their shit to get in - but Uhuru and Kibaki it almost seamless. That all true - Ruto's sterling history in politics is littered with party debris. Same as Raila. But not Uhuru. This was a rebuttal to Nowayhaha criticism of Uhuru. Generally I find Kenyatta to be golden-spoon so it apples n oranges to compare with Ruto or Raila.

Noway - here are a few soundbites of the vibrant democracy in Ruto's parties. Na mnalia Jubilee  :)

Ruto battles in Jubilee rekindle past fights for parties
The DP's career is laden with fights to control political parties

Uhuru is a mlevi..not a leader. Even Ruto tell people that. He is just born lucky -  with kenyatta name, bottomless money and GEMA ancestry. Kalenjin nickname for him - is the born lucky. Trump was born with a silver spoon but at least he has his own way around things. Uhuru is just a tool - Moi used and later Ruto fashioned. The idiot at one point signed off his PORK to maDVD :). Ruto had to save the situation. The man chain smokes and drinks like an idiot. The only time he stay sober or doesn't smoke are during public rallies...otherwise in his default mode..it's one cigarette to start another one in between sips of alcohol. Sonko at least is self-made and his drug problems a little excusable - coz he can function while being drunk like most kenyans.

Ruto if given a chance - you'll see what Kenya has been missing - real leadership. Not a drunkard who put kenyan on auto-pilot mode and dozes off - only waking up when plane hit turbulences.

GEMA chased mzungu and negotiated independence... when Nandi or Maasai were fighting for decades aimlessly with no objective. Cause GEMA deployed some smarts not just arrows. Anyway I obviously can see GEMA "merits" now cause they are aiding Raila. You see them as useless, evil traitors... Of course today you are sure they are almost 30% :) - you been saying it 22% for a while now - since they knived Ruto in the back. You may need to decide who you loathe more - GEMA or Jaluo. Either way you are headed to upinzani or some mkia at best. I even think it courtesy of "GEMA finesse" that your greedy impatient boy still enjoys some 10% crumbs in GoK despite his tamtrums. If it was Raila it would be 0%.

Let see who milks what of GEMA 30% in 2022.  :)

My friend I don't delete my threads. You can find my opinion on things. I support people with their weakness. And I am not afraid to say them. I know Ruto for example is such a prolific thief. I believe if elected PORK - he will become the richest man in history of Kenya.

If you check my record 1) I have held the same opinion on Uhuru - drunkard - financier of mungiki - but brilliant (there is ivy league shine) on macro-economics) 2) GEMA leadership is bereft of talent - it's mostly insular and has done injustice to their population.

I tell you tribes with 30% dominance like Ethiopia Amharas have ruled Ethiopia for 500yrs. In Uganda - the country name and language - come from Buganda. Buganda are merely 20 percent or so of the population - but like every Ethiopian speak amharic - every uganda speak buganda - in kenya it could have been kikuyus - not even kiswahili - if they were not insular (almost introverted) - but were out there influencing things in positive kind of way.

GEMA leadership has failed them. GEMA people are very hardworking lot. The leadership has failed them. I see some signs of revolt finally - because they have brilliant young folks like Ndindi or Ichungwa - and gazillion out there - who are out of politics- that can do great for their people.

I am not going to sugar coat my opinions because 1) I am not running for any leadership position 2) It just against my concept of 'Me'
