But Uhuru is graduate of Amhrest - an Ivy league.
Tsishekedi another Uhunye. A spoilt brat that never finished college and never had any formal employment. Was dad's son all the years. He was known like his local counterpart in Kenya for spending a lot of time in night clubs and waking up at midday or early afternoon.

https://nation.africa/kenya/blogs-opinion/opinion/raila-molasses-and-the-men-from-pretoria-1159726

Raila is deeply involved. He sold Spectre to Energem Resources - a dodggy "canadian" company involved DRC mining and wars. His visits to DRC are not coincident. I bet Spectre is money laundering scheme by the "Canadians" - more South African war mercenaries of Congo. Rather than shipping gas containers - you can bet they are shipping minerals.

1)  Bemba is a rebel leader causing trouble in Eastern Congo. He is married to Liliane Teixeira. Liliane is the daughter of Antonio “Tony” Texeira the CEO of Energem Resources. The company owns 55% shares in the Kisumu Molasses plant.

2) Raila is also linked to current president Tshisekedi - I bet through the same Texiera - who funds these wars.

Remember South Africa use to be the mecca of minerals - like Saudi Arabia is for Oil - and now those minning thugs have moved to DRC - as South African mines run dry. These same minning thugs finished Latin American mines.

After they are done - DRC will be left with gaping holes - and zero minerals.

At top of the food chain are Jewish kings and lords - who control the mining industry - De Beers and the likes. Below them the International Thugs who supply weapons and deal with logistics of shipping minerals. And the local thugs in DRC - who protect the mines.

It wouldn't be surprising to find Kenyattas, Mois - probably Odingas and Rutos - have invested in the mines through dodgy companies. Way they quickly welcomed Tshisekedi - and Kabila before that. Moi & Pattni Goldenberg was an investor. The stench go all the way to Pananosic and Tesla here - cheap raw materials.

Eastern Congo is a warlord's terrain partly because there is no effective government controlling the area. Reason being DRC is so large that central government can nary be able to extend to this far... unable to even muster enough resources to pay the police or the army even if for a semblance of order. Basically the police and army in this region fend for themselves! And which is why it is Kagame's and Museveni's playground. The police and defence forces can easily be malleable and manipulated by these cunning fellas. They supply the munitions and play the village warlords for a piece of the spoils from the mineral wealth. It will continue to remain so as long as the Government in Kinshasha remains unable to govern/police this territory. Which explains Congolese disdain to Banyamulenge (basically Rwandese) who run and control the militias in large swathes of Eastern Congo and the territory surrounding Goma. The UN through MONUSCO has merely been a largely non-effective force in this region although to be honest has provided some level of deterrence in the area escalating to un-controllable levels.

On Raila, you are back to your speculative musings Pundit.... Raila has no business with Bemba (as much as I know for the moment). Yes, he is very (in)vested with Tsishekedi and he has on-going, currently very nascent and speculative business interests (riding on so called AU High Rep for Infrastructure) in DRC. Certainly your usual Kenyans have quite an interest in DRC including the Kenyattas, Odingas, Rutos, dont know about the Moi's, Peter Kenneth and a few others (including yours truly.... small fish). As you are aware Mwangi's Equity is now the biggest Bank in DRC and if it gets it correct there could soon be in top 10 banks in Africa by asset base.

The rich Congolose are massively rich.... your so called rich Kenyans are no match... basically puny/penny rich in comparison.

On infrastructure... Congo is navigated mostly by air and decrepit rail and also importantly by water along River Congo. Quite a spectacle to ride or navigate on the ferries on River Congo!! Most of the big Cities can only be accessed in this manner and they are like independent commercial centres with limited or non-existent intercity road network.

Yes, he was famously last known to have been running a restaurant in Brussels before he came back to take over his father's UDPS Party to run for elections. He basically got the ticket because he was his father's son  :D. Rode on his father's name. And it is about this period that you get to understand Raila's (and Uhuru's) involvement in arranging his stab at it.

Not sure if they just awarded him an honourable degree. What I know is he does not seem to understand the basics of economics the thing he supposed to have studied.

We shall see. I think Congo is split into 4 parts; Tshikendi and his southern Lumbubashi. Kabila and Eastern Mineral rich Congo of GOMA. The North Eastern Congo of Kisangani and the Central or Kinshasasa congo.

But generally the entire country is a shit hole without any infrastructure.

Very far from it....

DRC is awakening! And you can’t imagine how rich this country is. It has been plundered mostly by vested interests especially allied to Kagane and Museveni in opposing plundering cabals.

Joseph Kabila doesn’t anymore have the levers to mount a guerrilla war and he doesn’t have the stomach for it (he is a rich $ billionaire living it up, why would he want another bush war? The army (most of whom were his loyalists) are now fully aligned to Tsishekedi.

Tsishekedi has struck a master stroke where he has aligned all the main opposition figures towards what he calls the Sacred Union of DRC and he has overwhelming support for this. The next few weeks and months are going to be very crucial on how DRC goes forward but certainly this move is for the better.

That country is on a whole different level... of only it organised itself; it is massively wealthy!! Tsishekedi seems like one who could engineer it’s turnaround.

I also favor a break-up or some extreme autonomy into 3 parts.  East, West and South.  This may come as a shock, but at Independence their infrastructure was second only to South Africa in the continent.  So "our people" have a lot to do with the current state.

Yes the Belgian built good railway - that is now rickety. They need very serious autonomy but like Nigeria - how do you deal with minerals in one part of the country. Nigeria North cannot give up on Nigeria south because of Oil. Kinshasa's cannot give up on DRC because of minerals..although btw West and East of Congo - is a huge forest that is barely navigable.

It hopeless situation until minerals barons internationally are stopped.

Maybe UN should ban any import/export of Congo Minerals for like 10yrs?

Anyway hopeless country. The roads in DRC are worst in the world.

I once watched DiCaprio's Blood Diamond and begun to realize how brutal mineral wars are. In Sierra Leone, Liberia, DRC, Angola, etc. There is another Netflix series Queen Sono about Russian oligarchs fight to control arms supplies to RSA.

Anyway the way Uhuru and Raila quickly endorsed Tshisekedi despite the brazen rigging against Fayulu - makes me pity you for thinking they would not rig Ruto.

I understand those guys to have been in the DRC almost a hundred years if not more.  It's the folks in Masisi that are recent immigrants(both Hutu and Tutsi).

Doesn't matter to Congolais. If you are a Tutsi you are a Tutsi. You are hated with venom. This started way before the recent troubles. There is a racial dimension to this conflict that is not appreciated by most people who are not familiar with that area. Banyamulenge are physically distinct from most of the inhabitants in the region. Were they picked on because they look different? or did they start antagonizing other tribes? No one knows but that area will be in turmoil until there is real reconciliation between different ethnic groups or some political arrangement can be worked out. Rwanda isn't just in Congo for the minerals or chasing genocidaires, they act as protectors for the Banyamulenge.

Betrayal in Kinshasha  is evolving.  Mwafrika elites have a long way to agreeing to sharing the loot and blood of their subject for progress.

Au and UN should get serious with frameworks for seccessions. The human suffering beats the logic of mythical national unity.

Yes, it will end in chaos, in eastern congo mines, where all the money is. Power in Africa essentially is about MONEY - thanks to poverty - not like in US - where Triump is interested maybe in pride?

This is no more than our own fights in the county assemblies....!!

I see you have not gotten a hang of what is at play in DRC. The next days and couple of weeks are going to be quite interesting and I sense Tshisekedi will get through it the winner.

The coalition Government between Tshisekedi Coalition and Kabila coalition (FCC) was illicitly procured.... really there is no honour amongst thieves as the old saying goes. Kabila is between a rock and a hard place. Tshisekedi gave an ultimatum that they allow him to form a new coalition or government that will work on delivering his agenda for the "Wananchi". Basically Kabila with his majority in Parliament (350 out of 500 or so MPs) had outgunned Tshisekedi in all ways! Literary holding him by the balls, he could do no jack for all this time he has been President. So now he has initiated a process of removing the Speaker as well as the Prime Minister, failure to which he will dissolve parliament and send the MP's (Deputies as they are called) back to elections. The Presidency is not affected by this dissolution.... invoking a clause in the constitution that since he is unable to make any meaningful legislation, he wants Wananchi to give him a new coalition. Basically he has told Kabila, let me rule or go jump into River Congo!

And the deputies know that they didn't win any elections (they were planted by Kabila to do his bidding!) and going back to Wananchi to get elected MPs is not an option they want to take. You must wonder like it was during Kibaki's time here how he could have won the Presidency and not a majority of MPs in parliament?? In Congo it was the reverse, basically Kabila did a number; the Fayulu Coalition LAMUKA, when the presidency as well as many MP seats, but Kabila proceeded to plant his MP's in place of LAMUKA and then made Tshisekedi president.... illicitly procured power grab! Now Tshisekedi does not to be Kabila puppet any more, he wants to be his own man. As they say decapitate the kingmaker completely.

So a petition to remove the Speaker has been signed by both Tshisekedi's coalition MPs and a large number of Kabila's FCC coalition MP's.... those throwing chairs and other missiles in parliament are merely the few remaining youths that have been given a couple of nickels by Kabila to cause some commotion. They know it is over, Kabila knows it is sunset days for his stranglehold on DRC.

And if you have not figured why the rest of East Africa seems very ambivalent about these developments..... Kabila has been whispered to to let go. Part of why Kalonzo was in DRC a few days ago. It was to pass the message to Kabila that it is for the best that "please go quietly unto the world  amidst the noise...."

The only place i have seen the Kabila morony of a predecessor running the state is Burma/Mynmar where the CGS is the C-in-C and not the president. Additionally the Mynmari military controls the defense and interior ministries and  25% of parliament so the critical clauses cannot be altered without their say-so. Here Kabila is a moron who thought he could hold onto power using Mps and an MOU against the C-in-C. Not even senator for life will save him if he continues digging in. He needs to lie low and make his way to Singapore or Monaco - some place without extradition - and enjoy his bloodmoney there.

And the way the moron shot at his own father to get power - I hope someone equally close shot him. That was ultimate betrayal. Kagame paid him to shout his father.

Rwanda isn't just in Congo for the minerals or chasing genocidaires, they act as protectors for the Banyamulenge.

By that logic the Pygmies should be the perennial victims.  Hutu(and other Congolese)/Tutsi rivalry is more than just physical differences.  They(Hutu/Tutsi) had lived side by side in Masisi being equally discriminated against as Rwandans without any problems between them until 1996.

What happened after 1996?  RPF.  They launched attacks on refugee camps killing people indiscriminately in the name of going after genocidaires.  Then they used a fake Congolese rebellion to invade Zaire.  They pursued over half a million fleeing Hutu civilians all the way to Central African republic violently culling their numbers as the made their way through the jungle.

You should watch Kisangani Diary when you get a chance.  The idea that Tutsis are blameless victims mrely fighting for survival because they look different is really simplistic.

Here is just one story describing the horrors at Tingi Tingi https://www.nytimes.com/1997/11/14/world/hidden-horrors-special-report-uncovering-guilty-footprints-along-zaire-s-long.html

They are. Pygmies are regular victims of atrocities.

Stay away from revisionist sources. RPF wasn't even that strong militarily. History is complex, there are no pure victims nor pure aggressors, truth is in between. You want to villainize RPF for some reason. I have been to that region and I have friends from Burundi, Rwanda and Congo so I know more than the average Kenyan about the genesis of the troubles. You are very partisan.

Ultimately both Tutsis and Hutus are victims of Belgian subterfuge.

AU and UN should allow/encourage Kagame to annex some of the DRC territory. What is the use of the Israeli death merchants benefitting from all that wealth.
