The most dangerous for me is this messing up of human rights with responsibilities....

Clause 4 of the Bill proposes to insert a new Article 18A
(Responsibilities of a citizen) into the Constitution to inculcate virtues
and engender the principles of national ethos, comprising the spirit of
oneness, honesty and integrity and to set out moral principles to be
adhered to by every citizen. The responsibilities include the duty to
promote harmonious living with other citizens, to pay taxes and
contribute to national development, among others. This Article seeks
to give life to the words of our national anthem that when the individual
thrives, the country thrives.

Ruto look set to oppose - while Uhuru will have NASA OKOA kenya brigade with him.

Even with the SIGNATURE launch there is still a real chance at CONSENSUS for a NON-DIVISIVE referendum that will give kenyans the opportunity to EXPRESS themselves without an US vs THEM, WIN vs LOSE contest. UNITY is the STRENGTH needed to fight COVID19 and organise the ECONOMY.

Ruto is a coward. Uhuru has finally clipped his nonsense. Uhuru is not kibaki. He is so far shown he is superior to ruto in strategy and ability

Not done. Time is their greatest problem. Ruto and Nos need to play time - delay tactics until we get to 2022 and forget about BBI.

Thanks to Ruto and other opposition...BBI has dropped many unpopular ideas.

But added some new toxic ones - like unlimited number of Mps and governors unlimited terms.

How and where ? As far as politics is concerned Uhuru is the most naive politician in Kenyan history.
It took the Michukis in 2007 to wake him up and tell him he had a better chance being with Kibaki in 2007 elections, He actually was conteplating to quit.
In 2013 it took Kabogo , Beth Mugo and Ruto to soberize him from his drunken stupour having given Mudavadi the presidency. Now he is sleep walking to the lions den , you cant be three time lucky his family will either need wake him up or they will suffer the consequences.

In regards to irrationality he tops up there, he ruthlessy sacked many CSs in his fist term having poached them from private sector where they were doing well as proffesionals  but then again look at his political journey and you will see the same footprints.

If IEBC in 2012 they did the most uncostituional thing by moving elections from dec 2012 to March 2013 because simply they were not prepared what makes people think now they are prepared for 2022 leave alone a referendumn in 2021.
Oh well treasury just yesterday signalled they need to borrow 400B to jumpstart the economy. Goodluck to Kenyan Government if they think it wont come austerity measures which might actually even have an impact to the political scene

Unless judiciary and IEBC are fools; they should throw banans peels on politicians attempt to mess with CK2010. Unless they want to have ombusdman appointed by poltiician to oversee their work in addition to JSC - they will kill BBI - by throwing curve balls on it.

This is Uhuru trying to get even with Judiciary. First he has refused to appoint 42 judges. It appears he want his Ombusdman thing to dispense with it.

Judiciary I believe will injunct this process at some point like it did Huduma number - and we buy time. We only have 2021 to navigate and we can forget about Uhuru nighmarish 2nd term.

If this is genuine constitutional reform - we shall have it done in 2023.

And mind you Kenya is soon going to have a new CJ.
Although Uhuru seems to have a simple majority in JSC but still the possibilty of getting a no nonsense CJ is still there and I believe this time around BBI will be a big factor on who is going to get the seat. Judges snd lawyers in JSC might team up to get a CJ who would protect the judiciary.
Uhuru and Raila think this is checkers playing with ndundes and Kings while in the longrun its Chess with Kings , Queens, Bishops, Knights etc The games have just begun

Independent Judiciary, independent free media, independent police force, independent parliament, independent IEBC and other commissioners is the cornerstone of democracy that we must protect from going Uganda way.

I think CJ Mwilu will take over as Acing CJ - as the battle for New CJ starts. Uhuru has 3 people on JSC - or maybe 4 if he buys one LSK rep - other rest are rep of  each division of our courts -magistrates, high court, court of appeal, supreme court and CJ/DCJ- so it's heavy with judges and magistrates.
