Ethiopia is complicated with federal system- there are regional parties; It more like 8 countries in one; each federal region; has their president; speak their own language; teach in their own language; there are regional parties; federal parties; etc.
Uganda is kenya without tribalism. Yes there is feel that Banyakole are sitting on everyone but it not really tribal -at worse it's regionalism.
Uganda doesn't have kenya prov administration - they have elected LC1, LC2 - village head, ass chief, chief - etc. They are elected by people and don't get salary - but you pay them to sign things or stamp stuff or solve cases - more like a chief who get paid by services they provide - and is elected and mos tof the time respected by people.
And then they have Kingdoms - and those kingdoms have some power. They own large lands, have their own govs with ministers, collect their levies.
Uganda have mayors for big towns - and town councils - outside that - it's LC1 or LC 2 or Mps - no Regional Or District or DO - so the police are ones who have more say.
Every police station I saw in Uganda has some fire fighting equipment - kenya doesn't have one.
Given a choice - btw Kenya and Uganda - I WILL DEFINITELY CHOOSE UGANDA - as the place to live.
Kenya is just too EXPENSIVE for nothing.
Bobi wine is inciting youth in kampala. He has zero chance against nrm militias
It has to start somewhere though I admit I don't understand Uganda politics well, are they similar to ours? I was shocked that Ethiopia has complex politics I new 0 about.
