Ginimbi is No More
« on: November 10, 2020, 05:22:32 PM »
Genius Kadungure, Zim's answer to Kenya's own Paul Kobia, but on steroids, died in a car crash while DUI in his beloved Rolls Royce.  It bears no repeating, but do not drink and drive.

The instagram caption for this photo reads Just decided to take a quick nap on Rolls Royce next to a Ferrari 488
"I freed a thousand slaves.  I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves."

What a fitting end for an empty soul who was obsessed with the trappings of western consumer culture. Frantz Fanon warned us about these ghouls.

My only beef with the man is his corrupt ways - drug, corruption blood-money. I got no issue with the legit lavish indulgence we have here at Silicon Valley or Hollywood.

Show off shows low self-esteem. There is so much one can use money for - including buying their own island.

It all depend - you can have a limo worth 10B dollars - and be discrete about it. You know the value of that car. You don't need to put sirens, paint in loud colors and disturb everyone peace...then you're crying for attention. And you're low self esteem with a small di.ck if you're a man...and a cheap whore if you're a woman. Drive your limo, jet, horse, name it just like everyone else drive their car - without drama. Wear you billion dollar cologne, handbag, shoes, and name it - and be discrete about. No need to display the prize tag.

I am not being sarcastic - there are many Ginimbi show-offs here. Fast-lane crew on super-loud turbo Maclarens. I may scorn them but no real beef cause it mostly legit money some of the wazee have made over the years. The real trouble with Ginimbis is it mostly blood-money.

He loved nice things.  He said money bought him happiness.  Can you point out this specific Frantz Fanon warning?  He seems like an interesting guy, but I haven't read about him.

Social capital comes in many forms.  For some it requires ostentatious materialism.  Something I think is more common with folks who have score to settle with society.

Majority of silicon valleys are geeks; ignored and derided all their lives; until they made money from their brains and computers; I think they have tonnes of scores to settle with popular guys and girls. I don't they most of them are mentally adjusted.

If you are not acquainted with Frantz Fanon and his ideas you are missing out big time. You can't understand the psyche of post colonial black Africa without reading this seminal author. He was from the former French colony of Martinique - West Indies. A revolutionary thinker and practitioner who has had a tremendous impact politically on the African liberation struggle both on the continent and in the diaspora. He trained as a psychiatrist. He systematically studied the psychology of the oppressed peoples, and the emerging social class formations in the ex colonies.

After reading his books you will understand why African political elites, and middle class aka the bourgeoise act the way they do, why they have no fealty to their countries ( stashing billions in Swiss banks, mansions in Europe, endless shopping sprees abroad) why they ape their former colonial overlords in everything from fashion to speech. The ostentatious lifestyle of Ginimbi will be understood in the prism of Fanon's work.

Read the Wretched of the Earth & Black, White Masks as a start.

100 paragraphs just to say the middle-classes in the post-colonial states don't produce shit but are just middle-men.  Is this how he writes The Wretched of the Earth & Black, White Masks?

The prose might not be to your liking but the message is potent.

Quote
Black Skin, White Masks is primarily concerned with the limits of French citizenship—the fact of blackness in the face of French nonracial claims to the contrary. Though citizenship had been granted to all Martinicans, regardless of race, following the abolition of slavery in the nineteenth century, Fanon understood, similar to his African-American contemporaries like Richard Wright, that equality was not possible due to his “epidermal” condition.

Immgrants should forget about integration, akina Balotelli should stop dreaming they can become Europeans. Their skin will forever mark them out.
