Judiciary is the new curve ball. They are the bastion of our democracy. We need to defend it.

Now in those 9 months  - will senate and parliament agree on those 23 bills - and BBI.

Look like they should suspend all business - and go to 23 bills - and re-pass - them all again.

Huge setback on parliament...and executive. Those 23 bills have to go back to senate....and be reconsidered.

People need to push for guaranteed Judiciary budget without Treasury or MPs approval. JSC appointees should automatically assume office if PORK fail to swear them - same as bills 21 days. I agree they can have some accountability so long as ombudsman is independent of PORK and MPs - maybe reporting to JSC - DCJ has conflict of interest. You also want fewer PORK appointees on JSC. Omtatas and LSK should be pushing this hard... Mobutu objections easily get politicised.

This ruling will only stand if it just kawa GoK business- without big political ramifications. Which I think it is - BBI as usual is the cure for senate-MP stand-offs. Make it clear both houses are equal and all bills must be co-sponsored. This lacuna was caused by MPs acting as both House and Senate during 2010-2013.

I am not convinced on judiciary ombudsman. Is there evidence that JSC has failed to act upon any request against any judge? Yes judiciary fund need to be finalized and also SHALL in constitution and court orders SHOULD BE respected otherwise sanctions should follow. Judiciary need to throw police commisioner or matiangi in prison once in a while for RULE OF LAW AND ORDER to prevail. Uhuru or PORK never really act..it people below him..who don't obey court orders. But once judges decide to throw  them in jail..they will listen. If they cannot be jailed by police juniors..hit them with 100M kshs fine. They will start to listen.

Any gov official disobeying court orders should be slapped with heaviest penalities imaginable...

And that way we can talk about law and order.....kenya gov never really obey court orders...you've seen gov stopped from eviction..they evict...gov told to let miguna in...they don't.

This is more important than BBI nonsense.
