Mobutu and Duale led the choir to kill police independence during Kimaiyo-Kavuludi stand-off. The shoe is simply on the other foot now. That does not change the truth about the Kakamega or Nandi incident - random non-political events.

The police are a tool of the politician at State House. We tried to make police independent but Uhuru has won to get it in his pocket and killed the IPOA.

That Kakamega or earlier Nandi story are totally unrelated to politics. Police brutality and abuse is too common in Kenya.

The body of a man who went missing while under police custody has been found dumped at the Webuye Sub-County Hospital mortuary.

The suspect, Denis Lusava, 21, alias Makali, was arrested on October 7 by police officers stationed at Mbururu police patrol base in Likuyani subcounty for failing to wear a mask. He later disappeared from the cells.

Kenya is 100 times worse than US when to it comes police impunity and brutality. They are a law unto themselves. Roughing up people on flimsy grounds, torturing for the joy of seeing people writhe in pain, extrajudicial killings are common.

Mungu akulaze mahali pema peponi Denis.

IPOA has been trying. The police are just thugs. We need stronger well funded IPOA. That only way the militia we have can reform...when they know they are being watched.

Strong on the weak civilians, but cowards before those who actually fight like AS, they duck and ran.
